I have more than enough for my needs BUT I really WANT a landrover

Enjoy the flowers, I would love to have a garden where I could cut my own, its reminded me of when I was little and used to cut Pinks from the garden for my mum
My BIL is on liquid dialysis rather than blood so can be done at home over night, its hereditary and my neice has been confirmed as a carrier. She is making the most of her life and living every minute, I wish I had been more like her when I was younger, but we can still all catch up!
Enjoy your weekend, x0 -
hi cherisong, I've not been on in ages but have kept in touch with your diary and hypno's and read a little of memory girl's blog too.
I was sad to read about your work friend but glad that you have been able to be so generous with your thoughts that the universe did the right thing. Life is so short so I hope they can enjoy the time they have left.
Hope you are feeling better now and that Max is well too. I have just had my boy (large ageing greyhound) staying for a week but he has gone back to daddy's nowI miss him terribly but it was lovely to have him with me. He doesn't do much these days but his presence under the stairs is very soothing.

Hey Little H, glad to hear from you. It must be heartbreaking to let your little fella go back to his daddy's. At least you get to spend some time with him and enjoy his company. I was lucky enough to be able to keep all of my animals when I split with OH and was glad when he decided that he didnt want any input. It would have been too much for me to cope with I think. It isnt always easy managing Moo on my own especially when I have to work long hours but we get there and I wouldnt be without him. I think he and my (now gone) cocker spaniel were my saving graces. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Hi Cheri, how are you doing? Did you have a nice weekend?0
-
Hey Pippa, thanks for asking.
I have been very neglectful of my diary lately sorry. I have so much on at the moment. I did, indeed, have a nice weekend. I am pleased to say that I have found a home boarding arrangement for Moo and he will be off for a little holiday there at the end of this week. We went down to meet them on Saturday and they live in the most glorious house with a garden overlooking the sea and down a long country lane. I wouldnt mind having a holiday there myself.
Should be working right now so I will be back later to read peoples diaries and see what you are all up to. I must also do some kind of financial planning for the month too. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. OK, I was going to do a 30 day challenge starting today and taking me up to my birthday but I like the idea of MGs 50 day challenge which takes me up to my holiday and Christmas. I have thought long and hard about this and so for my first day I am posting my challenge and action plan.
“Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are.”
Bernice Johnson Reagon quotes
The Challenge
To pay for the holiday with money already saved and anything over and above this to be cost neutral. To be able to surprise OH by joining him on a skiing jaunt on Christmas day by ensuring that I have a couple of lessons in secret - also needs to be money neutral
Action Plan Week 1 Days 1-3
- work out all costings - list and breakdown for further research
- work out current savings
- work out amount of money needed to be raised
- research skiing lessons and costs in area
- inventorary of all clothes suitable
- list of clothes needed - find ways of getting clothes without spending any or very little money
Think that should keep me busy until Wednesday. Update on my diary then. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

Thanks Cheery. I just remembered that I wanted to add into my challenge to start reading again. I never seem to find more than 5 minutes at the end of the day (being on here doesnt help ladedadedadeda)
So I will start with the following books
Leisure reading - Chris Evans - Memoirs of a Fruitcake
self improvement - Dalai Llama - The art of happiness (re read)
Learning - German dictionary to improve my vocabulary in time for the holiday.
Starting Chris Evans tonight. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Hi Cherisong
Followed you over here from Pippi's thread & have been lurking for ages.
If you are looking for Ski Wear at a reasonable cost try TK Maxx.
Glad you have Moo's holiday sorted, it sounds ideal :T

Morning MatyMoo, how exciting to be followed. Please dont lurk, I like a good gossip and the more the merrier. Thanks for the tip on ski gear. I have been looking on Ebay too I have often in the past looked at ski gear in TK Maxx and quite liked a lot of it for the price but always thought it would be indulgent to buy a ski jacket without a mountain to descend
Problem I have now is that I live in the middle of Wales and my nearest TK Maxx is at least 11/2 hours away and is very small. Still I might just have to have a trip "home" to be able to have a side trip to my favourite shop.
OK this weeks list

Leisure reading - Chris Evans - Memoirs of a Fruitcake started it last night - very good so far 3 chapters read
self improvement - Dalai Llama - The art of happiness - started this morning. 20 mins read will do this each day (re read)
Learning - German dictionary to improve my vocabulary in time for the holiday. found my old tapes for learning so will combine this with the dictionary - will start today
Plans for today - other than the challenge,
- lots of papers to read and make notes on (mind mapping practice) for next 3 days meetings in Cardiff
- Organise Moo's going away bag for the next 3 days holidays (feel like a Mum letting her little one go on first school jaunt)
- prepare my bag - clothes etc for next 3 days
- prepare my briefcase and folders for next 3 days
- read some more Dalai Llama at lunch
- 2 more walks in the woods - reckon if I spoil Moo then he will be happy to come home after I have abandoned him
My quote for the day has been seriously lacking so this is my daily motivational quote for today
"The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes."
