  • Oh bless you. I'm so sorry, that's horrible. Seems to be something that's happening a lot at the moment; that, at least, I hope will help you not to take it personally.

Thanks. I did take it very personally, but I was already in a bad mood because of my current housing situation and family stuff, so I pretty much hit the roof and then had a cry. Then I talked to my mum and we watched DIY SOS and I feel a lot better now, however, I won't be reading that piece of rubbish ever again, my case worker can deal with that.

I hope everyone has a lovely evening, I'd like to go to bed early and miss it all but people keep setting off fireworks and my doggy doesn't like them so I think I need to be with him so he can feel safer. Perhaps a snooze on the couch wouldn't hurt.

Benjy didn't much care for the fireworks, either; must be doubly stressful because he's in a strange house. Mr LW ended up putting on a Pink Floyd CD, and he settled down after that.:D

Oh, and while I think to say it, can I wish all the Cafe regulars and occasional visitors a very happy, healthy (as far as possible) New Year.

    You too! :)

Well... the house sale went through, we ended up with a bit more left than we expected, MIL didn't want as much as we forecast, so we can officially say we are DEBT FREE! :j:T:D:money::beer:

It feels like I'm all clean inside and out, ready for a fresh new year new start. :o:p:D

    Ahhhhhhhhhh palpable relief! :D

I wish you all the very best of new years' to come :)

My start is not going particularly well....

Youngest son's peak flows have started to plummet and I am in watchful, ready to take to hospital phase. So far, he is at 75% of peak, so not quite at the stage of him being admitted but if it goes on into tomorrow, it will probably be an admission as he is struggling a wee bit and has had to introduce his flixotide on top of his seretide and he has also had to use his ventolin a fair amount over the usual.

Don't think I will be getting much sleep tonight....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Thanks, he seems a little brighter at the moment. He is playing quietly with his lego and told me go away as I was making him scared by listening to his breathing and having my worried face on!

So I have come to the pc where I can still listen to his breathing but he can't see my worried face.

SingleSue I won't pretend to understand all the medical detail; suffice it to say I hope your lad is having a better day today, and that hospital does not become necessary.

Thanks LW, it almost came to taking him to hospital at 1am this morning as his peak flow really dropped but luckily came back up again into the amber zone with his ventolin.

In the end, he had not too bad a night.....I, on the otherhand, did not as I kept creeping into his room to check his breathing and colour (his O2 sats have a habit of getting into the danger zone when he is like this), so I had very little sleep.
