can you not get treatment at the nearest dental hospital?

Ive found them great with dealing with my disabilities.

The dental hospital referred me to maxillofacial at my local general hospital. That's who I was talking about, the specialist in that department who's seeing me. He does have experience with EDS, apparently, but not that much with psychiatric side-effects of non-psych medications :P

Are you like me and locals dont work or I need silly amounts, way over what I should need and I can still feel it.

I get genrals now, it saves a lot of hassel, the locals not working is a common thing for people with HMS/EDS, I dont know why and its just another annoying thing to deal with.

Yep. Typical HMS/EDSer in that respect. Including the receding gums due to faulty collagen and friable enamel. That'd be why I've had so many dental issues already over the last few years. I said to the specialist that given my existing issues with sedation and local anaesthesia that general might be a good idea, but he said he tries to avoid that everywhere he can. So he's probably going to give me this, it'll make me too manic to get the work done on me and I'll have to go back. :( He won't listen.

Im only 42 and Ive always taken good care of my teeth but bits fall off left, right and center, I had a load of chips filled a few months ago but they came straight off so my front teeth need to be capped.

I cant hold a tooth brush at present so even using the best oral b profesional electric toothbrush I worry that Im not getting them clean enough and I cant stand anyone to use the tooth brush for me, I gag and choke  roll on remission of RA!

Do you have anything from a medical professional stating what you've said on here?

Unfortunately, since my last GP managed to lose my entire medical record, I don't anymore, which is why I'm worried it'll be a case of him giving me the stuff then finding out he can't actually do the procedure if it makes me as manic as the other benzodiazepines I've had, and it'll be delayed for longer. :(

Oh boy, think I have really overdone things, I can barely move and just sitting here is painful without moving at all! Right now, all I want to do is go upstairs and rest my back but the boys are still awake and needing my attention, especially youngest who finds Christmas on top of a wedding yesterday, very unsettling and every step (nay, every blooming movement) is so so painful.

Not sure what time I will be able to settle youngest enough for him to sleep although he has calmed a little from an hour ago where he was very distressed but I really hope it is soon so I can take my painkillers and have a lay down.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

My bee heat pad caught fire in the microwave

The turntable wasn't on properly, so it didn't spin, and his bum must have got too hot. Before I could rescue him there were flames  He's now spending his Christmas in the bin :(
