  • Thank you lw. I've been lurking, just not had much to say. I forgot to thank you for the email you sent me when I was poorly about drinking. Made me chuckle. Belated Happy Birthday to the wonderful Mr LW, too.

Had a phone call from GP today with results of the repeat chest XRay. Pneumonia cleared in right lung, but not so much in left lung, so more antibiotics. Shall have to try to persuade her to give me some anti-sickness pills too as they make me feel so neauseous.

    How are you doing?
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

Awwww, (((gentle 'ug))) there's nothing worse than feeling uncle !!!!!!.:(

I'm plodding on, ta muchly; three out of seven internal doors have now been replaced, with all the attendant dust and upheaval; the rest are going on hold til New Year weekend, as I have canine guests, one from 10th to 20th, then another from 23rd to 30th December.

Still following the Flylady lists; it stops me going OTT on "good" days.;)

Take care of yourself; stay in the warm if you possibly can. Healing vibes on way.:o

U cannot wash my hair without my shoulders dislocating.

You can buy shower cap type things with shampoo in to wash your hair with.

I've spent the last 2 days with a really upset tummy and have been sent home early from work because I was feeling so sick. I am hoping to get a doctors appointment because whilst I can buy what I need OTC, at £4 a time, it's not cheap. (that's for 8 tablets, I pay £0 for as many as I need from GP) There are no morning ones showing up online and I can't get the afternoon off work; so will have to phone up and try to get one.

From...? And how do those get the shampoo out of it afterwards? My hair's pretty nearly waist-length, and it would be even more horrible with shampoo not completely gone. For the moment, making do with my wigs to hide it.

*hugs CWTA and LW* Thanks, all of you. It's one of those weeks... I made it to practice today, but I was so exhausted by the end that my legs wouldn't hold me up for more than a couple of steps at a time, so had to get a taxi home. Thank goodness I don't live far out of town...

  • I know it's not the same, but would Dry Shampoo make you feel a bit better or is it something that would irritate your scalp?

http://www.hcsuk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=636 I've not used this; so have no idea how good it is. However, I know a few people who have rated it.

Hm. I might try it, thanks. I just wish it were a bit clearer about what the solution they use happens to be; I'm allergic to coumarin and a lot of products have that in it. I could email them and ask, I guess.

If Tria's anything like me, the difficulty is getting the ol' paws up there and keeping them there for long enough to apply the stuff.

Anyways, I have a date with a pack of hair colour tonight - together with the indomitable Mr LW.;) He really is a gem.:A And no, I'm not loaning him out!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • So, an update.

I got my ESA decision last week. Massive fail. Got the letter stating how many points I got today, 0 points (Which, for many reasons I won't bore you with, is a farce) I have spoken to CAB and I have an appointment with 'Peters and Co' which I assume is a law firm, to discuss my appeal on friday the 17th.

However, much better news is that today I also received a decision as regards to my DLA claim; I have been awarded high rate mobility and mid rate care. I am overjoyed (although I might not sound it, pain, spoons etc). I was sickening myself with worry about what I was going to do without my ESA and how to stretch my remaining money out, but now I don't have to!

I can sit back, relax (sort of) and research what I'm going to spend it on. Backdated to the 17th of August woop! First on my list is 2 anabox weekly dispensers. Any suggestions of things I can spend my money on would be greatly appreciated.. Sensible, disability related suggestions obviously; although I will treat myself a little bit, some choccies and those really expensive 'healthy' ready meals I think :D

I had help from CAB to fill out my DLA form, but none for my ESA (stupid idiot for not asking) - it really shows what a difference they make.

Also, today I have felt well enough to bake a christmas cake as a present for my dad (well, sort of, mum had to come home and help as I got myself all in a fluster, but I did most of it for which I am proud of myself)

... Oh, I would like to ask also.. As I have said I am appealing my ESA decision, my mum has told me that we have had 2 separate times where cold weather payments have been triggered, when they acknowledge my appeal will they backdate them or will I have to tell them?

How do people deal with others staring at them? I was out today and had my guide cane with me. Because it was clear I was "scanning", many people moved out of their way for me, for which I am grateful for. :)

Anyway, got so far and went to cross the road. I have to look a few times before crossing. I then crossed the road and had a lady staring at me. However, I've no idea whether it was more "I was wondering if you wanted any help" or just plain rude staring.
