  • My Sis and I used to say about a visit from Mum, "She came. She criticised. She left." *g*
Mind you, now she's passed away I would give anything for her to be here criticising me. Oh gawd, I've welled up! lol

lw, I was on Plaquenil for a while, but I turned out to be allergic to it, along with any other immunosuppressants including Azathioprine. Send me into slow-onset anaphalactic shock. That's the only reason I decided to go the steroid route, although I am aware it'll affect length of life, I want quality of life now iyswim. It's a bit of a trade off.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

What suits one person doesn't suit another..... I can't take Ami; even a very low dose has me so far away with the faeries that I'm a danger to myself and others. I agree, no point in hanging on for a few more years if they're going to be totally agonising and non-functional years.

  • It's a bit of a trade off.

I've quickly learnt that everything is a trade off when you're ill; spoons and all that.
  • I've just had a thought, can mild nose bleeds be a side affect of some pain killers?

I very rarely have a nose bleed, usually through extreme stress; I was extremely stressed about a week ago and caused myself a nose bleed and it stopped just like normal. But ever since then I've been having less of a 'bleed' more of a 'leak' of blood from my nose. I thought it was just because of on going stress but at my pain management course on monday we had a talk about medication and side affects and when my nose started to leak just now it suddenly dawned on me that it might be tablets.

I'll try and remember to speak to the doctor about it on tuesday but I just thought some people on here might have some thoughts.

Ugh, this morning was like the worst parts of being drunk and hungover all at the same time! But I do feel the pain is less, although I'm aware it's probably psychosomatic as it's far too early to have an effect.

Great, my mother knows how much sleep I need and knows we are up at the crack of dawn so why phone me at 10pm for a moan about her health? She's still on the phone now and shows no sign of stopping.

When the phone went at 10pm I thought it was the care home phoning about Dad again, my heart was racing.

I have managed to hurt both elbows since Tuesday - I have no idea how on earth I did that. Sleep I assume.

I started my new job today and everything appears to have gone in one ear and out of the other. I am tired - but no idea where near as bad as I thought I would be.

  • I'm so amazed at myself, last night I thought 'I'll just go and try and start putting up that flat-packed dvd storage unit, but when it gets too much I'll stop, there's no hurry' and I was there for an hour, finished it myself! My mum helped for the last 5 minutes but other than that I can't believe it.. I am very much paying for it today, my joints are screaming at me even having taken all my meds but that doesn't take away the joy of the fact that I actually did something for myself, without being told/asked and coaxed in to doing it, and I did something from start to finish which is almost never achieved. I am pleased as punch :D

... Now, how to force myself to get up and go to dog training is going to require some thought.

Hey, BZ good to see you. Stay bug-free, if you possibly can.;)

FP well done!:T It does feel good to achieve something you can stand back and see like that, doesn't it?

I've spent the morning varnishing a door. Fun! (Not). I feel right groggy now, as the varnish honks something awful. Hope I feel better later, as we're out for a meal tonight for Mr LW's birthday.:o
