I have 16 piercings (was 17, temporarily retired one as it was wonky and I can't wait til I get it redone)! But if you look at me with my hair down you can't tell.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Thanks. What with the house move and everything this has come at the wrong time. You wouldn't believe the amount I have been sleeping these past few days, I'm pretty certain it's triggered by stress.
I wouldn't mind the absolute bloody nightmare of a journey to get there if I thought the medical would be at all fair. I am a pessimist but I think it is realistic to expect it to be a complete farce and then to be turned down for ESA. It's making me cry just thinking about it.0 -

Any news for us?I suffer from depression, agoraphobia and panic attacks.
On a good day I can get showered, unfortunately they are few and far between at the moment so you better stand downwind of me.0 -

Yes, sorry; my day has been incredibly hectic and stressful so I've only just managed to get home to Internet connection.
We arrived slightly early (after a 6am wake up and loooooong car journey), found a parking space fine, blue badge meant no time restrictions (time limit is usually 2 hours there) and no charge, we were only waiting for a few minutes before I was called in. I was seen by a doctor, Dr C-somethingorother, who seemed very nice, asked me lots of questions about my daily life and what I could and couldnt do. He then gave me a small 'medical' which involved movements of my neck, asking me to press against him with all my limbs and hands. After the hellish 1 and three quarters journey there with limited movement, my joints seemed to have a mind of their own and I had to get up several times. I also had considerable trouble getting up on to the examination bed (it was quite funny actually :rotfl:) But everything he asked me to do I could, so I'm a bit worried that's a bad sign.. But then he might just have tailored his examination to roughly my level of ability, who knows. Everyone at the centre was very pleasant though, and once I was there it wasn't very stressful, the examiner even apologised for any anxiety it caused me to get there.
... As we were in town anyway we went to get a present for my dad for xmas (can only get it in that one town unless you want to pay horrible postage costs), we then went to look at cookers and to cut a long story short we have ordered one (4 separate members of staff in currys asked me if i needed any help, one even asked if i needed a seat :rotfl:) so that's a big tick off the to-do list:T. I then waited in the car whilst mum went in to b&q for bits for the new house... Then if that wasn't enough we drove all the way home to the local tesco and did the weekly shop and popped in to the plumb centre to ask about a shower.
I'm surprised my body has survived. I'm thoroughly expecting to feel like death tomorrow.0 -
