hi all
having a really yucky day herehardly moved from bed all day, pain meds aint helping, got spasm type pains going from knees to hips, if i sit up in the chair too long i got pins n needles in my feet. aaaaargggggggghhhh its driving me crazy
hope everybody is having a better day than i have had0 -
I'm having a bit of an eek day.....during doing the housework, I laid down on the floor (in so much pain I couldn't move) and couldn't get up again!
Kids thought it was a great game and at first came and laid down with me, got bored after a while and carried on playing on a games system. They did finally rescue me, allowed me 5 minutes to get 'over it' and then started asking for their dinner......
I suppose really I should take some codeine top up but I need a clear head to do a TMA for my degree tonight and codeine tends to make me muzzy and feeling like I have to lay my head down, so will see if I can eek it out for a bit until my night time meds (yes, I am a stubborn begger!)
Had some good news though, got my hydrotherapy appointment come through finally for the beginning of September...so glad I bought a new swimming costume, my old one was not so good for my modesty, this one at least the boobs stay where they should! Still awaiting the results of the MRI though, apparently the department is way behind, one person has even gone to the press about it as he had his before me (by a couple of weeks) and he is still waiting for his results! The physio has chased it up for me and they have said hopefully the results should be known in a couple of weeks but at this stage, they haven't even looked at it.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

i hope it lets me post the link, this is 1 i got, and now they are £3 off too, might grab a couple more this week, for keeping in the car
Thanks for that you reminded me that we had one in the loft so DH was sent off with a ladder and a torch and told not to come down until he found it:D
SinglSue hope you are feeling better and pleased you have got a hydrotherapy appointment I've heard it is really effective.
nanamoo I get the same as you I'm never sure which is worse the pain or the pins and needles.
sh1305 I have had more MRI scans than I have fingers and they can be very claustrophobic but I keep my eyes closed which works for me. Many units say you can take a CD but to be honest it's so loud in there that you can't really hear much. If you really think you won't be able to handle it then you can contact them before your appointment and ask if you can have a sedative. Hope your appointment comes soon.

Ugh, so my purse was either lost or stolen a few days ago, and today I find out it's going to take GMPTE a month to replace my travel pass, even though I submitted the replacement form the day after my purse disappeared. ARGH. X_X I use that pass every time I go out and I can NOT afford to do all the journeys I need to in a good week around here without it. Plus, this is the week my Railcard is due for renewal (it expires tomorrow) and I don't get my DLA 'til Tuesday. Just not my weekHomosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0

Aww Trialia, it never rains but pours eh?
Needing help - I gave in and took one (yes one) codeine last night just to take the edge off the pain a little, ok I was still in pain but it made me feel like I was doing something for it!
Today, I have held off until about 20 minutes ago and taken two (I'm getting there) codeine, again the reason for holding off was the TMA which I really needed to get done and dusted by midnight, so we will see what effect that has on the pain. The TMA is finished and been sent off electronically and now I can finally relax...well until I pick up the books again in bed tonight to start the next unit anyway.
I spent most of today fiddling around with that TMA but late this afternoon, we just had to get out of the house...so we went car hunting. Ok, maybe not hunting but looking as my car has its MOT due next month and there is no way that car is getting through and inexpensively. Did find a semi decent one for £750, diesel estate but the mileage has put me off a little, it's done 50k more miles than my current one and my car is 6 years older! It's only a pipedream anyway, it's all down to whether my parents will lend me the money for a new (to me) car.
Hope everyone else is ok?We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. There is nothing wrong with "giving in" and takn medication.
I *should* be hopefully getting my memory foam topper within the next few days.:j I have slept well for the past few nights; but it's the pain in the evening that's the main problem now.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I know SH but I get a little OCD about taking medication...it was why I was threatened with being sectioned 5 years ago!
It was also why after my full hysterectomy 9 years ago, I told them to take away the morphine pump barely 16 hours after the op and then had nothing more than ibuprofen sparingly after that.
I hate feeling drugged up, hate that muzzy feeling, so try to do without for as long as I possibly can.We made it!
