I know SH but I get a little OCD about taking medication...it was why I was threatened with being sectioned 5 years ago!

It was also why after my full hysterectomy 9 years ago, I told them to take away the morphine pump barely 16 hours after the op and then had nothing more than ibuprofen sparingly after that.

I hate feeling drugged up, hate that muzzy feeling, so try to do without for as long as I possibly can.

Morphine makes me itch like crazy.

My granddad is on morphine and is now back in hospital because it's making him so ill. (He has mouth & throat cancer)

It makes me sick sometimes, apparently i'm sensitive to it.

I truly hope that your grandad starts to feel better soon, the morphine should stop him feeling any pain even though it makes you feel woozy sometimes, it helps you sleep too.

He is in the best place. :A

My grandma said that. She can be talking to him and the next thing she knows, he's fallen asleep.

I didn't, but I've been out. I wonder if someone taped it...
