The (not so old) Crocks Cafe -Part 2

Hi everyone,
Still feeling a little low, goodness knows what is up with me...maybe I am just tired and in need of a break (not that I will get one).
Had yet another aborted food shopping trip this morning, pain was too great to carry on, I'm peed off about my washing machine - youngest smashed the door weeks back, got another door but then the little thing it attaches to dropped back inside the machine and unless the machine is taken to pieces, it is un retrievable and unfixable..so having to use my parents machine twice a week and hand washing the rest (not an easy task with arthritic hands).
And I just feel so isolated, so trapped....I want to be free, I want to have time to be me, to relax, to have fun....but I can't.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I suspect they do know mine; during the medical I mentioned, the doctor had me lie on my bed (it was a home visit), and she then proceeded to draw all over my legs  and take loads of measurements. No idea what that was all about, and was too !!!!!!-scared to ask!:(
lol that really made me giggle!!! ty:rotfl:Ok, ok, i need to go back onto Weightwatchers, lost 7 stone..... 2 back on, this has to change.....Help!!!:eek:0 -

), but it's one of those things you have to laugh about afterwards.:D

*Bows theatrically* It was most unpleasant at the time, as I have a real loathing of being touched by other people (with the obvious exception of Mr LW
), but it's one of those things you have to laugh about afterwards.:D
I flinched when the airport lady had to tap me down, she asked if I was hurting and I had to say 'not particularly, I just hate being touched' I felt so stupid.
With the fibromyalgia, I find that even a light touch that I'm not expecting can feel a bit like a static shock, pressure of any sort is always painful to some degree but I have learnt which to ignore and which could be a problem. That's what I meant by 'not particularly' but I could hardly say all that on the spur of the moment with a whole (slightly angry, due to me 'pushing in' with wheelchair assistance) line of people waiting behind me.
However, there is one advantage of being visablly disabled - When I was last in America I went through security without the beeper going off (possibly first time ever!) and escaped the dreaded pat down but then everyone else was also frisked on entering the little holding bay thing before going on to the flight home, the man looked at me and just let me through. Phew! I can only assume it's because I had my stick.0 -
I have long thought that we would make dreadful criminals as we couldn't run away fast enough and would inevitably drop what we were trying to steal/conceal.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

I am sitting here smiling at the idea of you lot being a mini crime wave, a sort of smash and run in slo mo!
Just had my MRI , it is odd how soothing that noise is, rather like being young and sleeping when my mum vacuumed the lounge as the noise was so nice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Keystone Cops! Hope the MRI results are encouraging.
ETA: I should say I have no criminal tendencies, just a mind that goes off at tangents!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
I have a serious sort of phobia about ever being arrested because first of all they put handcuffs behind your back, that could easily dislocate something on me, secondly I can't walk without aid so that could be interesting, thirdly omg to a police pat down, fourthly staying in the cells without my medication (and yes, I know of a cancer patient denied his drugs in custody) on such hard surfaces... I think the pain alone would cause me to have a mental breakdown.
Putting all that aside, the mental image of all of us trying to pull of a heist is hilarious.
On another tangent, did anyone see that granny who fought off jewellery shop robbers with her handbag? so fricking cool!0 -

I saw that! What a woman.
Hey everyone. Kidney infection is bad, agony last night and so bloated today. Feel rubbish...
Neurology appointment was a complete failure, she didn't even listen to me...Feel so disheartened. No idea what to do now - write to her? Write to the hospital? Too ill to get to my dr at the moment.
I hope the MRI results are good. I haven't had mine yet, I'm a bit worried but if it's a nice noise that's quite reassuring!0
