    Thanks CWTA!

I went on a mad cleaning spree over the bank holiday weekend. However, since then, I have been incapable of functioning in any way. I've even been in bed by 9 every night (which is roughly 6 hours earlier than usual ) and exhausted the rest of the time.

The postman rang the bell this morning and after going downstairs and opening the door and going back upstairs, I was shattered and had to lie down again.

    Ugh. Don't like this.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

BZ (((gentle hug))) 'tis grand to see you posting, but :eek::eek: at the carp life is chucking at you lately. Deffo :eek::eek: at a male, hard-to-understand gynae doc. I can't even handle a male GP!
Take care of yourself mate, and remember non carborundum illegitematus. (Don't let the bar-stewards grind you down).:D
How's that hubby of yours, btw?:o

Auntie Axe my hair is in dire need of a trim; I haven't set foot in a hairdresser's in over a quarter of a century though; I always used to do it myself, these days Mr LW does it for me.;) Can't cope with having a stranger fiddle about with it.

    Hi everyone :)

Feeling a bit nervous about posting on here, but you are all so supportive and it's lovely to have people who understand what permanent illness is like.
I've got my report from the clinical psychologist now. She's said I scored severe on the Beck's depression test, and that I have a high level of mental distress. I feel a bit shell-shocked...I thought I was coping just fine. Or I would be, if I had somewhere to live.

She's referred me for a community care assessment, and told me to consider supported housing. I'm already on the council list, but nothings come of that in three months.

Could just do with some cuddles right now :(

I hope everyone is as well as can be.

    E x

Elle welcome, please don't be nervous, pull up a virtual chair and make yourself comfortable.

Many of us here have the ol' Black Dog in our lives, so we understand. I've been on anti-d's of one sort and another myself for *thinks* 39 years! I think we "cope just fine" because we have to - I'm sure that's the case with me, anyways!:o

I think some of our other regulars will probably be able to comment re housing (I was lucky enough to move in with a man with his own place, 9 years ago!)

Meanwhile, have a Wolfy (((HUG))) to be going on with.:D

    Hello all :j
Thankfully today has been a fairly ''normal'' day...........well,normal for us anyway. OH manager to get through the night with no problem so off he went for his bone density scan. He's aching now though and swears all the xraying and being moved about in different positions is affecting his right hip/leg (broke his pelvis just before Christmas and was told then it might never be right but couldn't be operated on). Hopefully he'll soon get another appointment to see the consultant to find out exactly what the problem is. Be really weird if he turned out to have osteoporisis like me..........how uncanny is that ! Still, must think positive.
Cleaner took me to the supermarket and I managed to get round there with my sticks............worn out now so thats it for today and having an easy day tomorrow. What doesn't get done doesn't matter.

Hugs to you all.................don't we all need 'em
    ((((((((:))))))))))))
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Good luck, Elle. I know that depression well, too - I'm bipolar.
