needing-help - Yes, I have floaters and astigmatism in one eye and yes, it could very well be an EDS thing. There's a remote risk of retinal detachment with EDS, but it doesn't seem to happen very often, but astigmatism and floaters are pretty common.

I have floaters and astigmatism.....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Thanks everyone. I'm trying to work out what is worth mentioning at her appointment and what not to (If she ever gets it of course:mad:)
FP Thats a lot of stuff to do in 2 days! Hope it hasn't left you too exhausted.
Hope you all had a nice long weekend xx0 -
Heh, that's nothing, today I went to the food and crafts Market with my dad, then I went round to his but he was ill so went to lay down for a bit and I made some jewellery, then we watched two or three Dexter episodes and now I'm home!
I get a lay in tomorrow though
I have had an awesome weekend, pushed through the pain and coped well on my own, I am pleased.0 -
Hello everyone, is it okay if I join you? I know a couple of you already from t'other thread. to LW and JoJo
I am struggling at the moment recovering from over-doing it at the weekend, and unfortunately my ME/fibro is really playing me up to the point that I am having trouble walking where the joints on my big toes are taking longer to heal from a previous injury. I also have clinical depression, Bipolar II and have only recently been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, or as my psych likes to call it Emotional Intensity Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress.
I also need to reconnect more with people, online mainly as I don't do outside life much - only to my safe zones. Although if anyone saw me on t'other thread you would probably think I am quite a galavanter but honestly I'm not..lol. I found that out yesterday after listing what I do and where I go while talking to my careworker yesterday. :rotfl: I also have a tendency of disappearing offline when I am having a bad time - I withdraw and just potter around at home and hardly put the comp on. I do read just don't reply..
Ooops sorry didn't mean to waffle away. Hope you don't mind me joining you all and I am not intruding on your nice little group:o. I have been lurking for a while..

Welcome Natty, pull up a comfy chair and help yourself to biccies.
I'm more of a lurker these days; I also tend to withdraw a bit when I'm struggling, so dont worry about doing that. Just give us a wave every now and again to let people know you are OK.
JoJo will be popping parcel in post tomorrow. Yes, it takes that long for me to get organised!
I'm still struggling a bit at the mo. Had wonderful friends staying for Easter and then got all blue after they left even though I was glad to have peace again. I think I haven't really established a daily routine yet after all the upheaval of the last few months; moving, DLA Appeal etc. Am wondering if setting some set things to do at set times will help me a bit. You know, a little housework, a little sorting/de-cluttering etc. I've also had the stress of a couple of unexpected things completely throwing my budget off so I have been scratching around for money the last few weeks.
It has impacted on my ability to cope with pain but I know "this too, shall pass".
Sounds like you had a blast of a time at the weekend FP!
Erme I am sorry things have gone bad for you and hope you can find some equilibrium soon and get home.
Hope everyone else is doing OK.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hey ho Natty, good to see you here; everyone's welcome - as you'll know from t'other thread, I don't do outside life, either!;)
Auntie Axe do you find there's a sort of guest-shaped hole when your visitors have left? That's how I am when my woofer guests go home, so I can understand what you mean about feeling a bit blue.:o
Anyone heard from Big Zippy lately? Was thinking about her recently, and wondering how she's getting on.:o If you're lurking, Zipster, stick your head round the door and poke your tongue out, or something!:D
Hark! I think I hear the coffee machine bubbling - caffeine calls!:D
*waves* to all other friends here.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Welcome Natty.....I'm another one who will go quiet when I am in my black zone, my online friends now know that is the time to worry with me and they get me to talk to them to get me over the hump (hump as in bump in my mental state rather than being in a hump)
Not been too bad just recently, pretty same old same old. Having difficulty accepting I may need to use both crutches at times, so tending to try to carry on with one and then find myself in mucho pain and barely able to walk...kids keep taking the pee in likening me to a very old and slow snail. We made it!
