FP - have a good weekend-I'm sure you'll be fine. Good neighbours are a godsend (ours has been told she's not allowed to move.....lol) and good friends never mind being asked to help.
My cleaner takes me shopping every week but today she told me in a fortnight she's off for 6 weeks with her OH, something to do with his work abroad. I'll miss her- She'll try and find someone to replace her till she gets back and she suggested shopping on-line but I do like to see what I'm buying, plus it was fun last week popping in the charity shops. No bargains to be had but one day there will be (I hope)
mccullough - I agree with you on the craft therapy. I'd go mad if I didn't do a bit of card making, painting and now knitting. Next thing is a scrapbook for foster daughters baby due in October. That'll take my mind off things a bit........something to focus on.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

DD's father has just shouted at me that there is NOTHING WRONG with her and she just needs to eat F-ING BREAKFAST.
There was me thinking denial was somewhere in Egypt.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

That must be so hard on youbut at least you have some support here, and you know you're not a paranoid doofus.
In one way, he is right though, if your child has a problem with weight then breakfast is the best place to start. It also gives them better concentration at school and sustinance throughout the day. That's not the way to say it though, silly man.0 -
Making things as therapy ... My son has discovered bread-making, he has gone through some hell in recent years (he's much better these days) and bashing seven bells out of dough, then creating a wonderful loaf that makes the house smell heavenly is one of his current therapies. He doesn't eat much bread himself but his colleagues love him, he makes huge communal loaves that go down a treat at lunch.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

I'm really pleased! It took me ages to fill out the stupid renewal form. All the questions were like "no, but..." as in there was one about a specialist you've seen in the last 12 months - currently none, but I've been on the waiting list since last autumn! Then I managed to fill in the bit about medication when it said you don't have to if you send a prescription form so I was scared I'd messed it up.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Hugs from here too Erme.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Sending hugs Erme hope you feel better soon x
Juno Congratulations its such a relief isnt it, I was recently given an indefinite award after my renewal.
JoJo I hope you get answers for your daughter. Am thinking about you.
A quick question for those of you with hypermobility if you dont mind. Do you have problems with your eyes? My daughter keeps saying they are going blurry or she gets loads of floaters. We have had her eyes tested and it was fine so wondering if it was linked. We are STILL waiting for the referal:mad:
I'm feeling fed up today, I felt good yesterday so decided to take my dog for his favourite walk but 10 minutes in I had to turn back because I just couldn't manage it:(
ETA Does anyone collect cokezone codes? I have a few and I don't need them
Hope everyone else is ok xx0 -
Both today and yesterday have been lovely
Yesterday I went in to town to collect a dress that I had ordered, I also got some jeans and some pjarmas too. My dog Timmy came with me, we then went the park and he had a run around, after that there was a party event thing on one of the greens which we went to and I had a lovely icecream, then I saw an art exhibition at the local gallery that I'm also going to volunteer at starting in the next few weeks. I didnt get home til 6:30!
Then today I went to dog training, Timmy did very well and it was really fun. I had to go to training on my own, another person in the class gave me a lift, whereas usually my mum is there to help but it turned out fine.
I'm in quite a bit of pain but that's cumulative from this whole weekend so far, so today is going to be lazy afternoon and I may even have a nap.
needing-help - Yes, I have dodgy eyes, I get those bits that float in the way of sight quite often and can sort of de-focus themselves if I'm not concentrating visually. I don't know if it's an EDS thing or not though.0
