Soolin - Can't make it to the Irish con, wish I could. I can't really afford it, unfortunately, what with hotel, membership, ticket AND all the other costs on top. But, I should be getting my compensation money for having to move house before DWcon proper, so I won't have to worry about paying for my hotel room for that, at least.
Erme - That 2.80 is for a kilogram bag, which lasts me a week! Not just one meal! And this is our every-other-year original Discworld fanparty. Sorta. *grin* There are Discworld conventions in other countries, as Soolin's mentioned, but this was the first and is the one I try to attend every alternate August Bank Holiday.
Speaking of August Bank Holidays... I'm hoping I can make AFPCamp, but we'll see. SO much fun, even when you do have to rest every few minutes, lol.Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -
Good weekend where my joints gave me less problems than usual...apparently being in a caravan for a few nights is better for me than being at home!
Unfortunately, middle son went into a rage this morning as he got very OCD about something and now I ache from head to foot.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Erme - I think the meals trialia was talking about are that price for a huge pack, I think I saw an advert that implied you could serve a family of four with one pack so give yourself slightly smaller portions and you could get a very filling meal for 60p
Lamewolf - don't worry about the thread, I'm over it nowthanks for caring though

I'm hoping Kalina will come again this year. I haven't booked my hotel room yet, just waiting for her to decide whether she will or not. I'm really looking forward to it - especially cosplaying Adora Belle!Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -
OK, this is totally pathetic as far as achievements go, but I know a lot of you here will understand it being something of a triumph for me.:D
We have little air vent latches at the top of our patio doors, which for nine years, I have been unable to operate myself, having to ask Mr LW to open/close them for me.
This morning, I managed to open them myself!!!!!:j:beer::T
It hurt like pure hell to stretch up to do it, but I managed it! Albeit with a fair amount of swearing. Lol, the tricep extension exercises on the WiiFit must finally be paying off!:D
