I was psychotic on citalopram too!

I'm happy today. There's this guy at work who thinks he's better than me, and he's also a lot stronger than me and goes to the gym regularly. He was really, really struggling to do something - open one of our delivery cages - as he was just pulling at it and trying to force it. It wouldn't go, so I had a try. I figured out it wasn't working, lined up the relevant bits and did it dead easy! Obviously he doesn't believe I did as I'm not strong enough.

Thanks, CWTA. My bank will charge me £35 though! *hides*

Juno, my sister was on citalopram for a while, but she couldn't cope with the bizarre vivid bloodthirsty nightmares - and I, for obvious reasons, won't touch the stuff.

  • Citalopram is the only anti depressant I have tried that has any positive affects on me, and I seem to be incredibly lucky that other than senna, all my medications seem to have little or no side affects :D

Sorry I haven't been around much, things aren't good here; nothing horrible has happened, just exhausted and not coping very well. This week was supposed to be restful but things kept cropping up, not least my dad getting hospitalised with a kidney stone *sigh* but he's fine, it was just an exhausting experience.

Think i'll go back to bed now, I'm really quite tired.
  • Been in bed all evening. Everything hurts - had to switch laptop off because I couldn't even look at it until now. Going to stumble downstairs (not literally, I hope), neck some painkillers for my throbbing head, check DD is OK and then come back to bed.

    :(
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Sorry didn't get back - had an episode at my therapy group which sort of threw me. Then I had the psychiatrist on Friday who has put me on another mood stabiliser while withdrawing from the other one I am on. Unfortunately it has made me a bit hyper/chatty/flitting from one thing to another/crashing rather quickly. Woah that's major emotional change there..how scary it looks when written down..lol. Poor D had terrible trouble reigning me in when we went shopping yesterday..lol. I was bouncing around so much in the end he let me get on with it. Trouble is he had to keep removing things from the trolley..lol Am a bit quieter today, thankfully, but I still feel a bit fuzzy headed.

Got a fantastic book out of the library yesterday - Borderline Personality Disorder for Dummies. Yeah I know bad title, but believe me it is so enlightening. It was a bit scary seeing me on the pages, if you see what I mean. But at least it was in plain english and I could understand most of it.

Have a fair bit todo today - have a shopping list as long as my arm to buy things in town, plus I really must pot up my seedlings that arrived last week from my vegbox farm. I think I will put these in the veg plot, even though they aren't veggies - they are flowers..lol. It will help pollination etc..

Must remember to reign myself in with the money and not get to the state I was in last month and not have a bean to my name after paying all my bills.. :)

Hugs and love to everyone, hope you are all doing okay. Off to shower and then get shopping.. :D

I wonder if aching joints is the changeable weather we're having? Everyone I know with problems is worse at the moment.

My problem is CP gait triggered osteo-arthritis in my left hip. My arm hurts too atm because I'm supporting so much weight through my stick - I am overweight, but I don't look as heavy as I actually am because I'm tall. (5' 9'' ish). I'm really, really trying to lose weight but my problem is I was super - active for a CP'er before arthritis struck, I was very fit but I wasn't slim. Now I'm not exercising I can't shift the weight. A diet of 1,000 cals a day just maintains the weight, I have to go below this, which is ridiculous.

Thanks. I've just been diagnosed with Emotinally Unstable Personality disorder, from what I can gather it is the new politcally correct name for Borderline Personality disorder so I will look in to getting this book as I think if I understand my problems then I am better able to deal with them and it will hopefully get things under control.

FP sorry to hear your dad's in hospital.

Re meds - what suits one doesn't suit another, I guess; I know a lot of people benefit from Amytriptylene (sp?) but I'm so far away with the faeries that I'm a danger to myself and others if I take it.

Mcculloch I think you may be right about the weather having an effect; I've had a beastie of a headache for the last two days, can't shift it. And I just went outside to hang a couple of dresses on the line and let Ted out for a wee - out there less than 3 minutes, and the sun on my head had made me feel really icky.:(

    ((((HUGS)))) and posi-vibes to all.:o

I have "I Hate You, Don't Leave", which is also a good book for those with Borderline Personality and their family and friends. :)

Afternoon everyone. OH and I helped a friend with his Archery coaching exam today which basically entailed said friend teaching us how to use the bow and arrow and the technique etc. My arms were killing me before but now I think they may drop off. Not to mention I'm absolutely exhausted and I'm already feeling payback. :(
