But give him a few days and like a phoenix from the ashes................., they always do.;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • Just logged onto my ebay account and had a mail from the powers-that-be to say I had breached their feedback policy.........

No warning as such BUT I had a sneaking suspicion it had something to do with my friendly Arthur Daley down in Essex

His feedback has been removed!!!! Guess the 'IDIOT' part on my reply to his wild accussations of me not having the full amount was the straw that broke the camels back?

This guy sure does get away with murder. I wonder in reality how many transactions he has really done, resulted in an equally satisfied ending?

His feedback certainly does not reflect the reality of his trading compliance/habits/courtesy!!!!!!

Does anyone think I should waste even more time contacting ebay again asking for the opportunity to leave a feedback - obviously with the word 'IDIOT' edited out?! :rotfl:

I really really have a matter of days until our newborn descends on us all (hopefully quieter than his 4yo sister!:shhh:), so don't have the time to waste on the little pipsqueak! BUT will.......

    Stephen ;)

I think you should. It costs nothing and if it has any negative effect on the chancers that play this game, so much the better, :T

Your info and feedback on the event is sound. Send the entire MSE thread to ebay.

Thanks for the encouragement - think I will now then!

This ebayer needs to be outed for the conman he is but incredibly has a knack of getting away with it. Sure he's got shares in ebay corporation! :rotfl:

Having read the whole thread, I think you've had a lucky escape. I bought my last car from eBay and was so sceptical about it, I think 5 of us went to pick it up.... when I got there, it was the gentleman's daughter who I dealt with, she was 19! I felt like I could be perceived as threatening instead of the other way round so I sent them all back to the car :)

Oh and congratulations on the new baby (I presume s/he has arrived by now)

Lol, better to be safe than sorry though as could've been five of them waiting for you! :rotfl:

Partner was due Sunday gone and the little fella doesn't want to come out. He's well cooked now we all agree! :p

Our 4yo daughter went to Menorca last Friday for 3 weeks with my partner parents, brother & sister so at least everything will be settled for the time they all return. THEN term time begins again!!!!

Thank you for the well wishes too

I suppose your bad feeback woulnd't bother someone if they've sold you a stolen car, they would just create another account.

On the other hand, law abiding people could get nervous about doing so. Having no idea what these people are capable of doing.....especially as they will have noted your home address when you filled in the ( possibly dodgy ) log book

Horrible position to be in, if it's cloned/stolen. OH and I bought a car in June. Did all the checks etc etc, name matched address, followed all protocol.

Police took it away just the other day and are coming to take statements from us soon.

I'm weary about what to state!!!

That scumbag knobjockey has our home address!

says his name wasnt on the log book (wouldnt that be the case with a trader?) i certainly wouldnt pull the feedback if someone had tried to sell a stolen car

Haven't read the entire thread, this bloke is just a trader, not selling stolen cars, and the bad feedback is just somebody trying to justiofy pulling out of the deal after winning the auction.

Threads like this make me wonder how some people can hold down a job when they are unable to purchase a car.

There will always be a profit margin in a car if it isn't being sold by the the previous owner, if a car is being sold as one company owner then it is obvious that it is a car bought at an auction and being traded through eBay.

If you want the bells and whistles buying experience go to a dealer.

@bambammy, that is an awkward situation, and one reason why you should always take somebody who is able to spot a cloned car, now that the logbooks are changing colour it will eventually sort this problem, that was caused by thousands of blank logbooks going missing a few years ago.

I have now read the entire thread, and had a quick look at the eBay link, my opinion hasn't changed, the seller is a trader, simple as that.

Criminals tend not to use the same eBay account for a prolonged period of time, as they would get nicked.

Some traders are honest, and prepare their cars to a good standard, some buy them from the auction, don't even clean them or service them and stick them on eBay.

I have tried to trade cars through eBay and had to deal with a load of morons that thought they could have the world for £10, those that did win at a reasonable price, would try and haggle when they arrived to collect, even though the car was as described.

You get a better class of punter via Autotrader, and quite often a better class of used car.

There is no way i would travel half way across England to buy a run of the mill car like a Mazda.

But as the OP is happy to have another Fiat all has ended well, though i can't help fealing that the Mazda, even with the fag burns and dents would be a more reliable and cost effective purchase.
