pixiechick wrote: »I'm sorry but the way I read your opening post, and some of the subsequents ones, you are trying to get out of your purchasing obligations. Surely the time to ask for advice is before you bid not afterwards.
Of course I don't know your other half but I wouldn't class a £4000 puchase as 'menial'.
If you are here to nit-pick or want a squabble then please do move on to the next thread!!!
WHERE except in post #14 do you see me 'trying to get out of my purchasing obligations'????? I have asked for comments AND advice on how best to proceed. I have just re-read my posts, as though I'm mad and it is you who is playing games..... I suggest you stop smoking whatever it is you are!!!
And yes I have admitted my mistake in not asking multiple Q's before auction end. Do you want me to apologise on EVERY POST I MAKE? It is my mistake and I shall sort it, either by buying the car or reneging on the deal with compliant help to the seller. Where is this animosity sprung from as I think you're past the gentle observational stage?!
Once again thank you for the constructive comments people
STILL need quick advice on which HPI service to use for this? Booked my tickets now via megabus.com so I'm going down to Essex at the very least now!haha0 -
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Mycarcheck is the one I used, but there are loads try a Google search also you will need some info from the log book, so you can check the cars annual mileage in which you can print this off and take it with you to make sure the seller gives you the correct service documentation.0

Now now people please no arguments.
The OP did in fact come here for advice, maybe he should have looked into things a little more than before he bid but we all make mistakes
OP I hope you enjoy your new car0 -

I am certainly not here to nitpick or squable. I think the only animosity has come from you. I'm not the one going to town with exclamation marks. I have made over 850 posts on MSE and have been thanked more than 4000 times. I don't think that would happen if I nit-picked or squabbled.
You asked what you should do and I simply said that, as far as I can see, you entered into a legally binding agreement with the seller as soon as you confirmed your bid on ebay.
You say that you've only mentioned trying to get out of your purchasing obligations in post#14 but in your very first post you say "should I buy a car from this guy" when you have already bought it.
Personally, I don't care whether the seller's genuine or a rogue. The fact remains that you bought the car - too late for questions or second thoughts - period!0 -
I also tried to give encouragement and set your mind at ease by saying that I had a good experience of buying a car on ebay.0

I nit pick and squabble all the time ~ what has the amount of posts or thanks got to do with it?
Ste, I wouldn't buy it if I were you.
Yes, you should have checked things out more before going on to win the auction, but it's better to back out now than buy a car that's shoite and throw £4K down the drain ~ especially with a baby on the way!
It's clear you are unsure, so apologise and walk away.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
