You have a real incentive to keep getting stronger and losing the weight slowly - don't be too tough on yourself. Good to hear you are getting back to your old self and feeling better.
I've been thinking of visiting weight watchers too - I've put back the 2 stone I lost when I was ill a few years ago - and more besides. Not the way to lose weight but I felt slimmer than I'd ever been and was adamant I'd NEVER put it back on LOL LOL LOL. I tried ww on-line last year, but think I might need the meetings.

they just said that they couldn't say to me that it is gone and won't come back despite all the surgery...it has popped up twice since surgery so I am classed as "being managed". I harbour a wee dream that maybe this round of chemo might see it off for a while tho.......
I have never had to deal with getting holiday insurance under pre-existing health conditions so haven't a clue what's involved! I am going to have a look through that link for info. I think Mcmillan have details as well.
it sounds like you wouldn't have any probs as it has been dealt with and to their knowledge nothing else there?
Taxi Cuba sounds divine..had a wee google
Hi Troy - I see what you mean & I really do hope that you get your dream x I'm hoping to get the all clear after 5 years. But even then I'm not sure that they give anyone the all clear it's more of a NED (no evidence of disease). I don't have to see Dr Spooner (he's lovely & soooo kind, I could sob when I see him), my Encologist for another 12 months, so it's looking good. Although I have an appointment with the plastic surgeon next month, not sure if he's going to remove a sort of spot like thing from the boob. Take care now x

Hi taxi - I'm glad your getting out & about a bit more. I've gained 21/2 stone  I never knew until it was too late that breast cancer is the only cancer where you gain rather than lose weight. The Oncologist (bless him) kept telling me it was water retention, so I'd pop another chocolate bar/crisp into my mouth .... I was a 71/2 stone wimp before so it was my dream to gain a bit of weight. Although I'd like to lose 1/2 to a stone if poss - it's the giant belly that I don't like.0

Hi Taxi,
your thread fair whizzes along
Great that you've been getting out for a while most days, it helps to make you feel 'normal' & part of society as it's all too easy to become rather distanced from real life when battling with things.
I've been a right lazy moose today; other than ironing I've not done anything more strenuous than virtual shopping
Hugs

Oh Taxi, you are off to fat club, welcome aboard the crazy new world of the new WW. Fruit is now free...........so if you are into it, the weight will drop off in no time.
I didn't know breast cancer led to weight gain.................how strange.
