Have booked our holiday to Cuba for 29th jan next year for 3 weeks....so have a year to get fit and healthy. They price matched the internet so all is well.

I need to renew DHs passport and book travel insurance yet.

For weight loss thinking of going to WWs ..they have a new plan but if I don't like it will follow the old one.

Had a coffee at Starbucks with DD2 this morning, did banking and picked up something she wanted...I was aching like mad....so then came home and for irony there was a form in the post to fill in ...medical questionairre for ESA ...they don't hang about do they?

    Yay! :T

As for the new WW plans, two girls where I work are doing it and they've lost loads of weight and they say it's much easier than the last WW plan. Sounds alright to me!

Hi Duke glad to hear you are through it and I agree medicine is a small price to pay.
it is my 2nd round of chemo (1st a year ago) following major surgery twice, a permanent stoma and some chemo for spots on the liver. All worked good and now some enlarged nodes in both groins (the doctor knew they would enlarge at some point) I am starting a new round of chemo to deal with them. Good news is liver unchanged and no other areas found.
I too am mentally battered, although have never actually been ill with the melanoma, just had to recover from surgery. It has been a rollercoaster ride, and right now I am tired of worrying and seeing counsellor to try and get it into perspective and not think about it all the time.

I am enrolled to go to the look good feel better a week tomorrow Maggies centre, Glasgow...but that will depend on the "come down" and if I feel up to it as it's a train ride away!

Macgirl - nurse told me at Maggies too that lots of people live with cancer as a chronic illness. It's only the bad news stories we tend to hear in the media and that can be scary for sufferers. thanks for your good wishes:)

    Taxi - how are you?

Gosh you've certainly been through it. I've had the op, 6 x FEC, 18 x 11/2 mins of radio, & 12 out of 17 Herceptin. I've been on Tamoxifin, then Arimidex, then back on Tamoxifen. I'm constantly checking for lumps throughout the day. Wishing you all the very best x
