Thanks everyone...Troy and Duke...it's specialist travel insurance firms we need to use.I need to wait a few more weeks before I can even book travel insurance.
Sorry not been around much have been a bit busyish and then falling asleep but slowly getting back to normal. Not doing much compared with normal peoples activity levels.Have managed to go out each day..not for long.Have paid the tax bill, sorted some paperwork, done washing and drying etc.
Whilst out yesterday for lunch....i missed a delivery so needed to go to the main PO to pick it up today..so combined that with having a nice coffee and bought some lovely veg from the market.
Thanks to Northernlas...I have a lovely new cup and a book to read..thankyou very much.
hope everyone is ok0 -

At least with the internet etc available to us now, booking a last minute break away, whether local or long haul is very easy to arrange - so you always know that if you feel up to doing something, the world is your oyster....and if you don't...well, you haven't booked and paid for something well in advance which then has the disappointment of being cancelled.
I am sure you will get a break somewhere sometime this year - and when you do, it will be fab!

Good point from Hypno - and I'm glad to hear you're getting stronger, even tho its slow - as its bound to be, I guess. As long as the direction is right, thats the main thing - and I'm especially glad to hear you're managing to get out each day, thats one of my goals - to get some daylight on my skin every day. Easier for me, of course, by far!
Have a good day today.

Hi Troy - A cruise sounds good to me. I want one of them too. What do you mean by a monitored patient? I just thought that seeing as I'd had all the treatment (which the oncologist said was just a precaution anyway), I took it that everything was fine with me. In fact a lot of people don't have the treatment do they?
Good afternoon Duke!
they just said that they couldn't say to me that it is gone and won't come back despite all the surgery...it has popped up twice since surgery so I am classed as "being managed". I harbour a wee dream that maybe this round of chemo might see it off for a while tho.......
I have never had to deal with getting holiday insurance under pre-existing health conditions so haven't a clue what's involved! I am going to have a look through that link for info. I think Mcmillan have details as well.
it sounds like you wouldn't have any probs as it has been dealt with and to their knowledge nothing else there?

Duke meant to say a lot of people don't get any extra treatment if they are satisfied they have it all away. I didn't first time round. Seems to depend maybe on the type of cancer etc. but I know treatment is used often as a percautionary/mop up excercise.
If your cons. said just a precaution then that's great they are being extra vigilant. XOwned by a Great Dane :heartsmil

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!
