Oh Taxi I'm absolutely obsessed with holidays! Cuba - lovely, that's on my to do list too. I was a bit worried that if you went this year it would be too soon for you if you understand my meaning. I didn't feel up to flying last year & I was promised two holidays seeing as I didn't have one the year before. I ended up doing a few coach trips around Europe & had the time of my life! New Zealand for me this year - hopefully.

Did you get the TA to pricematch your holiday? I usually do that, they sometimes look a little shocked by my begging antics :o but they will knock something off.

Hope you don't mind me asking but by mentioning cancer did it knock your insurance up by much? Only I've never mentioned it with my insurance. I was thinking (I did ask the oncologist too) that as soon as I had the tumour removed then I no longer had cancer hence not mentioning it.

Sorry for rambling, hope you're feeling ok today.
  • Hi duke how are you:)
it's a rollercoaster for us all but we get there;)
I was wondering about holiday insurance too...

Want to aim for a cruise end of year, but what happens when you are a monitored patient? i.e. not having chemo at the time you go but being "watched"
Just wondered how it works...does the consultant get involved with the ins, company etc?
    i haven't a clue!

Glad things going well taxi x

Hi Troy - A cruise sounds good to me. I want one of them too. What do you mean by a monitored patient? I just thought that seeing as I'd had all the treatment (which the oncologist said was just a precaution anyway), I took it that everything was fine with me. In fact a lot of people don't have the treatment do they?

    Yep, count me in :D

I went to the football last night Taxi and gave you a wave as I went past! It was a good night and thankfully mild (even though I'd dressed for the Arctic :rotfl:)

Great to hear you so positive and fantastic news about the holiday. I think you can do WW online too for extra motivation :)

  • Hi Taxi,

Sorry that I've not posted on your diary for a while but the notifications don't appear to tell me when you have posted on your diary?

You are sounding masses better and it's good to hear as Nargleblast said 'You've got your mojo back' and that is great, you sound really positive and great news on your holiday you deserve it and I think some nice sunshine will help.

Will try un-subscribing and re-subscribing and see if that helps.
