Thanks everyone ...you are so supportive.

I mentioned that I needed to get pain under control to my GP a month or two ago and he said he'd sort it for me and refer me when I'm ready.
I'm trying not to go near the DRs at the moment as I don't want to pick up any bugs at the moment as my immune system isn't the strongest.

After doing all that stuff yesterday I fell asleep on the sofa at 7ish and woke up at 4am.So that's me up now.

    Am going to WW tonight.
  • Good luck with ww today, they say the hardest part is turning up on day one. Today is another giant step on your road to a healthly future. Take it easy.

  • Hi Taxi

So glad that you are feeling up to going to WW it is a good step forward and bit by bit you will get there and the weightloss does make such a difference I feel like a new woman and don't dread walking up the hill into our high street and things like that now. I had a bit of a shock when OH weighed the little twins to get them new car seats and I discovered that I had lost their combined weight no wonder I always felt tired constantly carrying their weight around with me:eek:

Pleased you have been out in your new car it will give you so much more freedom when you are feeling up to going out and about.

    Take care

Thanks...I don't find it daunting going and getting weighed for the 1st time..that's the easy bit...lol...the hard bit is sticking to the eating plan.

DT...good that you feel loads better having lost the weight ...amazing it's the same weight as the twins combined.
I have between 11 and 12 stone to lose..equivalent to a whole grown up man or even an overweight woman....sounds very daunting...so I will take it 1/2 stone at a time...guess it'll take a long time as can't see me doing any worthwhile exercise untilI've got a few stones off as my back and hips won't take it.

WILL JUST HAVE TO TAKE IT ONE STEP AT A TIME...BABYSTEPS

Managed another achievement today ...managed to get in and out of the shower by myself..ours is on the wall above the bathso have to lift my leg in over the bath...will be heaven when I can manage to get in and out of the bath myself and have a nice soak.

I sure appreciate some of the difficulties disabled people have now.

Oh Taxi, you'll get there - look at the determination you've had to get this far - DT has lost a huge amount - not the ten stone you're saying, but still a lot. You can do it.

Do you ever watch The Biggest Loser? I thought the title sounded very cruel, but a friend who needed to lose that amount of weight, and couldn't get started, found it very inspiring - and I thought, well, its not right for me to judge where someone finds their inspiration! So I've watched it a couple of times - for me, its not about weight, but about the commitment they show to taking control of their lives - that really is inspiring.

  • I agree with the premise of little steps- as they say, "A dripping tap fills a bucket" Not that i am suggesting you get Tena pants or owt :)

I also love, 'The biggest Loser', as well- their stories are so emotional and inspiring. I must admit to preferring the American version though.Somehow, the English one lost its appeal after i saw the trainer on there was the same as on Jordan's weight loss/exercise DVD..lost his credibility really as she is one for quick fix lipo rather than through exercise.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

Evening everyone...weighed in last night and have 11st 10 1/2 lbs to lose....so here we go.

I have actually lost 5lbs in the last couple of weeks but the above is what I need to lose so will use that in my sig.

Have had a nice day out today with DH we went for a cooked breakfast..have tracked it on my tracker and an ice cream..have tracked that too...lol followed by a drive to the lake district..where we had a little walk by the lake and then sat and had a cup of tea outside.

Was lovely to be out properly as haven't been out for months...so made a lovely change.

Still have 14 points left for the day but willprobably just have some fruit later.
