I had a call whilst I was out, OOS and as I had not ticked subs, no subs. Only I had ticked subs.....I will be following this up via email to CS. Totally unfair that some people got subs of another champagne and some didnt.

Mine were oos. However, they substituted with a vintage cava, I would have been happy with that, but they charged me the full price which was £13 a bottle.
The poor driver called HO, but they wouldn't budge. In the end he offered me a free bottle of Cava, which I accepted even though I had ticked for substitutes and on their website they state:

When we are deciding on suitable substitutes for you we always substitute up. This means that if we don’t have exactly what you ordered we will replace it with a suitable item of the same or greater value. Of course, we wouldn’t expect you to pay more than you originally intended to so if we have to substitute an item we’ll pay the difference.

I have sent an email to their Head Office in Leeds asking them to investigate why some stores are doing one thing and some are doing another.

    Reeeeeeesult!

Just had a delivery (8.15pm) of 5 bottles of Dubois Caron Champagne Brut N/V for £4.97 each. Delivery was supposed to be yesterday 10-12am but got phonecall to say no longer stocking it. Last night I got a call from a lady in South Africa to say it was discontinued, but other than that I couldn't understand her. I thought that was the end of it but I got a call from my local store tonight at 5.45pm to ask if I still wanted my order. I said yes, so long as the price was £4.97.

    What a result, thanks OP.
It's BARGAIN, BARGAIN, got it? Bargin my ****.

This whole thing is a complete and utter shambles......I ordered on Saturday night and had a delivery slot for 10 - 12 Monday morning. I was called at 9.58 and was told the order had been cancelled as they were not allowed to sell it at this price. I questioned the fact it was scanning at that price and that people were buying it instore at that price and also receiving delivery at that price, I was then put through to the service center who then said they could not deal with it I would have to speak with the store home shopping manager who was not available until after 1pm. I waited until 3.20pm and then called the service center back to query the fact I was still waiting for a call back, was assured this was not Asda policy and that I should have had a call and that they would personally call the person to call me and then call me back........waited until 6pm and still no call and so called head office customer service who put me through to South Africa where I have never been spoken to so rudely by someone in a customer service role, I put the phone down on him. Finally at 7.10pm a duty manager from the store who were supposed to be sending me it called and I asked him to scan the bottle, guess what it was coming up at £4.97 but still he said he would have to speak to head office and again I was to wait for a call back this morning, unfortunately I missed the call and spent the rest of the day waiting to speak to him only to be told he was VERY busy and he would call me back! I gave up hope at 7.30, but then at 7.45 I got a call from one of his team telling me that head office would not allow him to honour the order as it was a misprice and therefor they would offer me a voucher to spend in Asda as a gesture of goodwill (voucher was not to the value of the Champagne!) I am too tired to take it further!
I cannot believe a company like Asda can get something so badly wrong!

Completely agree that this is a shambles!

I ordered Sat night for delivery this am between 10 and 12. Phoned CS at 12.20 to be told order had been loaded to van and would be arriving shortly - probably just delayed by traffic.

Nothing arrived so phoned them at 4pm to be told (eventually after various other excuses were attempted including that I didn't have sufficient funds or wasn't in the house when it was delivered) that it was out of stock and wouldn't be back in stock for at least 4 weeks. The reason I hadn't received a substitute was that there was nothing at a similar price (surely not in the spirit of their substitution policy???). Severely p'd off with them!

Customer Services a complete joke - kept guessing at reason for delay/cancellation. Totally useless. Also they told me that they had been told that some customers would be informed of the cancellation but they didn't know what ones - !!!!!!!

Always knew it was a gamble but so annoyed that I waited in all day for the order.

Shame on you Asda - a massive own goal me thinks!
