Dunno if this will help anyone, but it's saying Cardiff has stock....!

(and "Bromborough" ? in South Wirral...)
  • Just got the last one in Bangor ( N Ireland) and the girl checked the other N Ireland stores and there was only 1 left in Newry. Problem is I got the display model and there is no instruction book - could anyone help me as to how I could get one? Any help would be appreciated - I have tried a quick "google" and can't seem to find one online.

OK, I bought the store's display model for £12 without knowing anything about breadmakers. No box, no instructions and the sales guy said it wasn't supposed to have any accessories with it. Turns out this is not the case, so now I've got a breadmaker without the paddle, hook thing or measuring cups. I've found some listings online for these parts, but they're all saying 'not available to order'. I'm hoping you kind people might be able to help me with a few questions:

    - This kneading paddle on Amazon has reviews from people saying it fits the Tesco machine, which appears to be the same as this one. Can someone look at the link and tell me whether the paddle in the pic looks the same as the one in your breadmaker? ---> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Morphy-Richards-48260002-Machine-Kneading/dp/B00188BO2G

    - Do you think it's OK to go without the pulling hook and measuring cups?

I could return it, but if I can get the part(s) cheaply enough online, I think it'll still be worth keeping at this price.

    Hi Chia,
Yes it looks like the one but have you tried the Curry's spares place to see how much it is and be sure of getting the right one ???

Thanks Silk, good to know it looks right. I have tried the Curry's spare parts site and various others and they're all saying unavailable. Maybe I should ring/email, though. I did ring Tesco and Sainsbury's and they don't have any spares.

hi there, i reserved one to collect today.
I can see that the majority is using already made mix, is there anyone who manage to make a good loaf with normal flour and basic steps ?

I am doubting of getting the machine now, because if i have to buy the mix everytime i cook bread, i may just aswell keep buying already made bread, they cost least than £50 sometimes in the supermarket.

    Please any help ?

The only things I bought to make the bread were strong bread flour, a pack of dried yeast, (enough for 10 loaves) and a bottle of vegetable oil. Each cost about a pound in my local Tesco.
