    Good morning
I was out all day yesterday, then again in the evening. (Managed to persuade DH to take me to Ikea!) So didn't do much flying. But did shine the sink & also sorted through a whole bagful of photos from a holiday & have just kept enough to make up an album - the rest went in the recycling!
So that bedroom has got to be finished today. I am talking major declutter here! My wardrobe takes up the entire space over the stairs & the back of it is fully shelved & mostly full of junk. Under the bed was full of junk, & the bottom of DH's wardrobe was also in the same state. So today will be the 3rd full day of work, but hopefully should get the place finished.
TBH the room did look tidy (at least it did before I started) but every bit of storage space was full of stuff & most of it probably didn't need to be there!
So that's my task for the day - finish what I started!

Morning all, well done everyone for what you have achieved so far. My list today is very small as I will be shopping with the oldies until 2pm but then I will come home and

Hoover the rest of the house that I didn't do yesterday.
    Clean floors
put away small pile of laundry that I couldn't do yesterday with DH in bed.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

  • morning all.

    I want to

1 clean down kitchen walls, tiles, tops of units and the light fittings.
2 Start on my bedroom:eek: (if I have time)

Then i'm out this afternoon so that will be it for today.

Tomorrow i'm working all day, so sunday i plan to catch up with the ironing, now that i have space to put it all away:j

Morning everyone - busy few days but no posting. House was clean until this morning when the children of chaos woke and did their evil work.

I thoroughly recommend trying to sell your house as motivation for cleaning, mind you I never would have got it tidy enough in the first place if it wasn't for motivation from you all and flylady for the original attitude change.

    Today we need to:
tidy the toys up (at least three times)
    bake a cake for tea
wash the living room carpet - still not done this and it is starting to look really rough. amazing how dirty it gets when you start washing it regularly
take the 'show' duvets off the top beds and put the old ones on as we have my steps for the weekend

and on an off topic post Jo138 your lovely avatar is the spit of one of my babies. I only have two these days but I have had four. My idea of happy retirement involves at least 18 cats.......
I maintain that all the hair and dirty paw prints are made by the dogs (belong to my OH) and that my lovely cats make all of their mess outside :D

  • Morning everyone.

I finally feel up to joining in. I have been late home from work every day this week due to stopping back with kids to do coursework. I've decided to have a 'work from home day' (ie a sickie). Good reason though as my feet, arms and legs have been swelling up badly with the heat at work, and i can barely do my work from the constant interuptions of people saying "can you just help me with...." The final straw was being one of the last to leave yesterday and then finding i was on the cover list 3 times for today when you are only supposed to do one cover lesson a week. I knew if i did that i would be knackered for doing anything at home for the whole weekend as i already look like the elephant woman without spending 3 hours stood on my feet today.

Anyway, my flylady plan, DH has gone away with work till sunday evening, so:
    today
    - sort out internet banking done - and also dealt with emails. Forgot my pay goes up today, so £150 better off than i thought, and also worked out we now have enough credit card points for £70 of mothercare vouchers :T
    - clean out kitchen cupboards as they are currently making me hide in shame
    - do a few loads of DH's washing to catch up again (weather will allegedly be very nice today) jeans swinging in the breeze as we speak
    - clean bathroom suite
    - put away last nights washing up, clean sink and draining board
    - clean top of cooker
    - wash towels in in now washing
    - wash bedding

Thats more than enough for me, as i still want to do some real work, and catch up. I figure i will be more productive over all from one day of working at home and feeling better.

    Have a fab day everyone.
  • Well, I guess you could say it worked - kitchen and bathroom tidy and I even made a fish pie, which my friend pronounced as, "Yummy". The fact that she was late arriving because of hideous traffic gave me that bit of extra time that made all the difference - I was even quite relaxed by the time she arrived.

Big blitz weekend coming up - getting out the Stardrops and rubber gloves - hope I can keep the motivation going.;)

Pffft, Vicky, you don't NEED us - you've got visitors to encourage you to tidy and clean up. I'm jealous! And I feel SO not needed now too.

Hi guys done no flying whatsoever today. We all have that Friday feeling here and are shattered.

I am going to do a quick swish/swipe of bathroom/loo before going back out in 10 minutes. Will see how day pans out later.

Erm, polishing the table can wait!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
