Does your mobility alter if you have the blue badge in the car or not?
mine does! it means i cant park in wide spaces so i cant get out into my wheelchair so without my blue badge and what the blue badge allows me to do my mobility is directly effected...by your posts am guessing you have full use of your legs? unlike me0 -
In more and more council car parks only cars with VED can park in disabled bays, am I any less disabled in the family or my husbands car?
Many people with BBs dont have VED cars for various reasons, not having HRM or having a BB for being blind for example and this rule bars tham from using council car parks BBs (where BTY cars without BBs can be fined legally)0 -

This is a genuine question
Why can you not park in a space wide enough to let you out if you do not have your blue badge with you? i.e why, if you do not have your badge with you, do you not park in a disabled space?
Again I am only talking about in a private supermarket car park type place.0 -
do you mean disabled tax disc if so i got one of them too
Yes in a popular turn of phrase and I have one too (disabled tax disc) but that dosnt help other legitimate BB holders who are being denied the use of council car parks or people like you and I who may be travelling in another car, if Im in the family car (which also has hand controls BTW) do I not need a wide bay to get into my wheelchair then?0 -

because the signs say blue badge must be displayed and i respect the rules if the sign says 30mph i go 30 is the sign says no entery i dont enter ...i follow the rules set down....some signs say disabled tax disk holders only then i dont need to use the badge as it says it on my tax disk
But as a blue badge holder you know that you are "entitled" to use these spaces.
And as an MSE user you know that the blue badge scheme has no legal standing in a private car park, so I do not see why you would not use them. They are not rules and are quite different from speed limits.0 -
i park in them and i dont have a blue badge, but im there at 7am usually and there are no cars to be seen, i usually park the furthest away from the store as i fear my car getting scratched by thick people leaving trolleys everywhere.0
