I've always found tyre-shopper.co.uk to be very well priced. I just buy them online and then go down to my local National where they are fitted. There is also usually a 5% off code knocking about somewhere.

is tyreshopper owned by National Tyres? Looked online and all the garages seem to be National Tyres & Accessories.

Try Black Circles fully fitted, then call the fitting station directly and ask them to beat the quote, this worked for me. There is a £5 off code for Black Circle will post on the discount code thread, it only came today so should be valid.

Just realised the code is for Michelin Energy Savers only!

Surprisingly Costco tyres were far more expensive for us this time.

going for 4 tyres I'd say go for Michelin Energy Savers, try to find a deal where you get the fourth tyre free, then you're basically cutting the price in half - because one tyre pays for itself in fuel savings because they are 'energy savers' then the other free one makes a set of four half price.

Doing 14K a year I'd be wanting something decent on that palm sized area that keeps the car in touch with the road.

btw, the Michelins might even be made in Scotland.;)

Oh dear god..... So you go in for your cheap tyre's and come out with a new exhaust, new brakes and new shock absorbers with a stupid smile on your face thinking "im soooo glad I took it there, i NEVER knew the car was falling apart!! how lucky am I?"
Then 2 weeks later you realise you've been done.

Wherever you buy from go for a well known name.
Only exception (not big name) I trust is Kumho.

    yeah Tyreshopper is National Tyres.

I have used them at least 3 times and they get you in, do the tyres and ship you out. No cross selling at all.

Or maybe its just my local branch (Harrogate)

You can get Bridgestones for that price at Blackcircles - £45 a tyre, or Kumho or Firestone fiited by Etyres for same price. They'll both switch the tyres round if you ask them. Although you'll have to wait a day or two for both - at ATS you can drive straight in. personally i'd wait for the premiums if you can.

If not see if ATS will match the price for the bridgestones?

In the end I went to the local dealer and they did the Bridgestones slightly cheaper than I was quoted for the Federals at ATS and them in stock, so really glad I didn't order in the Federals. It shows it pays to shop around and I know where to go to get my tyres fitted from now on :T

If you're local to Micheldever then Bracnell Tyre & Exhaust or better still Total Tyres in Binfield may not be too far away. I find their prices are always good & my rear tyres are quite a rare size as they're only on MR2's from 53 plate (facelift) to 2006 when Toyota stopped making the cars. I typically get them for £20-£40 less a tyre than the main dealer pricing.

Jeezus!! £90 for a run of the mill budget tyre????

I would never have looked at Federal before, always used Eagles or Toyo T1R/S but when I picked my new car up it had Federal's on (newish) so thought I would give them a go and I have to say I am very very impressed so far, easily as good at the Toyo's so far.
