Tesco misprice discussion area part 9

So lets all stop getting R&R's and instead when we or people we know are overcharged take it straight to trading standards(or who ever is in charge of this happening) where i am sure i have read or heard that Tesco's could be fined somewhere around £2k for each incident and see how much wastage they get then.

Or better still, lets do what Ireland wanted to do and claim back 3% (average trolly overcharge) of UK profits every year back dated to be given to public funds. (60 million pounds per annum back dated). As far as I know the argumet from Tesco was that the R&R policy covered it. 640 thousand is a bargain when you look at the much bigger picture.

Trespass isn't a criminal offence. It's a civil one (Law of Torts). You cannot be arrested for Trespass. You can, however, be arrested for a public order offence.

Just goes to prove, assume nothing. Thanks for pointing this out and you are right I should have done a tad more research.

I would seriously consider taking action if I ever rec'd a letter like that. It is an offence to send obscene material through the post. Some one should be prosectuted, even if its for using threatening behaviour.

Right one more chance on this thread today and then it will be locked for abuse to look at!!!!

The problem is this thread is taking up so much of the board guides and the forum teams time, i am sure that it will be removed if these arguements carry on.

This thread is not a place to discuss wether R&R's are fraudulant etc.....

This thread is so people can discuss what r&r's they got.

Please can we keep it on topic, and without the arguments. We dont want to see this thread gone, but we have to draw a line and say enough is enough.

I have certainly got it wrong and I am very sorry. I thought that the other thread was to talk about missprices and this one was to talk about the policy. Am I right in now thinking that this one is to talk about how you got an R&R and nothing to do with the policy?

Once again I am very sorry for the misunderstanding.

right i have taken the word 'policy' out of the title so noone else can get confused.

talking continuely about the policy is not what this thread is really about, obviously if someone was refused an r&r that they were entitled to that can be discussed here.

But the constant bickering about wether its stealing/fraud etc..... is not on on this thread. How does it look to new people signing up to the forum that this is what they see.

MSE has worked very hard to get a friendly, helpful community and we dont want this to stop.

Thanks for the clarification. Your time has not been wasted and I will never disscuss fraud etc on here again but will disscuss r&r refusal etc.

Yea I was refused an R&R on this yesterday, as I had the smaller joint. I said no worries, what about all these:p , bacon, book, cookies & selection box. They took my name and address and we had a real fight over the cookies. The Chocolate Chip cookies are not in the offer, although they were in the PDA on the end of the gondola, directly underneath the large label stating 2 for £1.50. They were even the ones at eye level, so I'm sure loads of customers will have bought them and had no discount.

Have to say I agree with the last reply. I too thought we could discuss things on this thread rather than just factually reporting what has been R+R'd
