can anyone NICE help with my post #1253

    Please

Well I got a PS2 and game 2 weeks ago, my first biggie. Had to ask though, the store would have just refunded the game I think but I stayed calm and pointed out the policy, and the Manager agreed. CS were very nice about it.

Anyhoo, having read your posts I think you should get it. I would write a letter to Sir Terry, stating your dismay that the price policy was not applied in your case. State that you are a regular customer of 'xx' years and have never had a problem before...etc., and feel that they Poster was certainly misleading.

It certainly was misleading, and your point about the asterisk not being against the first line of text seems very relevant to me. Maybe save that snippet if information from your first letter though, as if you are still denied your R&R you could then do a final letter mentioning the asterisk not applying to the £20 top-up offer. At that stage state that you have no option but to refer this to TS, ASA, Small Claims Court or whatever.

That's what I would do I think, HTH.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry am I missing something ?

I thought you said you wanted it for your Sons birthday next month, so why would you want to return it ?

Quote "I am hoing they call soon as dont want DS to hear call as its for his birthday next month so want it kept a surprise really."

I know but I also said that I grabbed one from Boots.com whilst 10% off promotion was running so now have 2 and wondering which to return as easier to return to Tesco than post back to Boots

Thanks for that. I did call once I had left the store explained briefly and apparently ;) there is someone called Joanne dealing with this and she would call me back after 10 today. No call as yet but I am keeping everything crossed.
I am slightly worried re the wording of the poster implying the £20 is off the game but its not clear and as I said worst case I will refund the lot.
Its for DS birthday in October and I have already got console from Boots with 10% etc previously posted.

#1229 from 10.55 this morning. I never get anything I would not make use of. Sorry if my post implied that I would

At my local large store, there was a new load of mispriced books today. Saw 3 new Dr Who Titles, stickered £3.73 like before, scan at £4.98 I think (BUT unluckily for me it was spotted and adjusted at the till!). I will return them but the title are:

The Art of Destruction, The Price of Paradise and the Nightmare of Black Island.

    HTH

didn't work for me at teatime today...... am happy with the £3.73 per book anyway.... keeping them for my DS.

The doritos were 'put on the MEATY doritos section by mistake' I was told today, and are not included in the offer...... I was given an R&R dur to the confusing signage.

i tried for the vodaphone, £20 off last night, got told the doscount is on the airtime, i asked to take a picture and took one for proof, working 6-6 today and tomorrow so no time to ring head office :( What do i say when i do ring them?
  • Hi,

Whilst doing an R&R today on some chicken, overheard a guy trying to get a refund - with receipt - for a DVD still in cellophane. He was told he could only get a replacement from the same 'section' and was not offered a refund.

Just curious if anyone had come across this policy before, for CD's. DVD's and Games.

PS, if anyone else has this picture, or a scan of the sign B&W will do can you send it to me. You can guess what has happened.

The poster clearly states that the discount is on the phone. It says something like:

£20 off any Vodafone or Virgin Pay As You Go Mobile Phone when you purchase £20 top up.
