The inducement is clearly towards the package and not the individual product you are entitled to r&r.

cheers, I thought ppl would say this, I feel a sinking feeling like I left myself down. She put it in a very good way. I thought it might have changed the wording from when I got my first bundle style R&R and then it said something a bit more clear that it was the bundle....

Am I pimpississing in the wind that I could phone HO anyway even though I accepted the free Tekken and got a refund for the PSP?:(
  • from the other thread but disscusing it here...
Also found Organic Lamb mince sel £1.99, sticker £2.59 but scanned at lower price when I thought it would scan at sticker price? Maybe my mistake, it's all a bit complicated!
You did correct usually it will scan at what it is stickered at. Thanks very much for pointing this one out too as generally if it does not work in one store it wont work in another.

I think most of us agree, failed R&R is more imprtant than working ones.

The worst they can say is no, then you can put it in writing, if no success then refer to Trading Standards and Advertising Standards Agency and let them do the work for you.

  • Not had a good morning...

Tesco Organic lamb mince, SEL price £2.49, pack price £2.49 & majority £2.59

Scans at £1.99!!! Realised once I had paid for them *sob*

Anyone any ideas on an excuse for returning 6 packs of mince? and please don't say it serves me right for being greedy, I share my finds with family and friends

I fell for that today though the SEL in my store was £1.99 and sticker £2.59 and to my disappoinment they scanned at the lower price. I just went straight to CS and said that I'd bought lamb by mistake when I meant to get beef so got a refund and pretended I was gonna go back in and buy the beef. I think I looked a bit ditzy but at least I got my money back!

I kind of like the approach, "Excuse me but I am making a stew and this appears to be lamb dressed as mutton" do you have any mutton? :D :rotfl:

I like to think I adopt the "Put up or shut up" approach.

  • By the way, if they say no on the grounds that you accepted the game at R&R make sure you inform them that you did this as you felt under duress to either accept the offer given or get nothing.

I think it is fair to say that managers are putting customers under financial duress (accept this offer right now or get nothing) and so you feel that the agreement you made with the store manager is vitiated by the fact that you felt under duress and it has been less than 14 days since the agreement.

Understand that a contract is null and void if you feel it was made under duress and it is within 14 days of the event, understand also that you do not need to prove duress as it is enough that you felt under duress. You might want to explain that to Tesco HO as they might or might not be aware of it.

A bit of legal jargon for you all to get your heads round ;)
