keep saying - do I want to smell nicer?- do I want to be healthier and wealthier? Answer will be 'yes' of course! you/we have just got to convince ourselves - not easy I know.
Four weeks for me now - I'm made up :rotfl:

    Keep at it all

Not much to say but just wanted to keep the encouragement going.

Was my 21st party on Sat and went all night without a cig, most impressed with myself :D

Bones61 and roxorx- you can do it,we are all with you.:T

I gave up smoking 7 weeks ago with the aid of the inhalators, am allergic to the patches. The inhalators took the edge off the cravings, am slowly cutting down on them. My danger points are just after a meal and when i go out socially. Finding it quite hard at times and still want to light up. I am amazed i have been 7 weeks smoke free after smoking 20 a day for 20 years. Good luck everyone.:T

Just counted up how long I'd stopped for and must say I'm disappointed: I thought I'd stopped for longer than that. Still, stopped exactly 1 month before my birthday so started the 21 brigade as a "proper" non smoker with a month behind me!

I have to say, it's getting a lot easier now and I think about smoking less and less on a daily basis. Yes, there are times that I fancy one, but when I think about all the positives any kind of "craving" disappears into insignificance.

I won't repeat the cliché but keep at it everyone, you know it makes sense!

  • Hi Guys,I haven't posted for a while so here's an update.I didn't get the Neil Casey book before I went on hols so I didn't get chance to read it then.I have started on it now but since I've been back work has been really busy so I'm not getting through it very quickly (reading at home rarely works - too much noise and too many interuptions!I have been reading your posts too so I stay wanting to stop. So well done to you all and welcome newbies. Loads of you are talking in weeks now instead of days so something is working!I'll advise of my progress.

    Hi Boatie,

    wondered where you'd been...:D

Well done for making steps towards stopping :T :T

Persevere with the book, it's not as big as AC, so shouldn't take that long to get through.....

Good vibes coming from this neck of the woods. I'm feeling better by the day and I hope everyone else is too. Even though I'm tired, stressed and overworked I'm not in the least interested in reaching for a cig.

    I think I've cracked it!

Hope everyone else is still doing well :)
