hi everyone. I've come to join you. just finished reading all the posts here.
I had previously set myself a quit date of 30th October but fell into the stress trap (family member had a stroke) and failed. Thanks to RichyRich who pm'd me at the time.
I am off in a few mins to track down the Allen Carr book, decided to get help to quit rather than go cold turkey straight off, then I will set a new date.
Already decided it is going to happen so will be back with updates and for support.
Good luck to all who are trying and well done to those who have succeeded.

(Set up a direct debit or transfer to your credit card or savings or mortgage or whatever to divert the fag money straight away. I did, and it made it harder to find excuses to back out.)

hi and thanks to TNG & squirreltufty.
Got the book in the first shop. Asked SA about stop smoking book and she came straight out with Allen Carr and all 3 (easyway, only way and the little book) Thumbs up to her, Waterstones should be proud.:T
Listened to the free cd, now reading the book.
I checked out the links shown in above post and most of them seem to have died :(
Feeling so confident, almost smug :A This is going to work for me. :j
I will be here for any help and support that is available from you and I really hope that one day very soon I will be able to return the favour.
I've got a savings account with very little in it and it's time to wake it up, thanks for that idea squirreltufty. :T
Back to the book now, catch you later.

    Day 11 :j

Feeling very pleased with myself as never thought I'd be able to stop, I'm not thinking about smoking all the time anymore and someone told me I smelled nice yesterday. I don't remember the last time someone said that to me :rotfl:

I have been randomly tearful off and on since Saturday which is weird. I can be happily doing something and then my eyes fill up and I feel like I'm about to cry. Very annoying and with no apparent trigger, other than that I don't feel as emotional as I did in the first few days!

I thought the links all worked... are they broken or did you mean that nobody's posted recently? When I have time I'll read through them to see if I can find any helpful tips...
