Yesterday was weird, suddenly a picture of myself smoking appeared in my brain, had to think 'no, don't want one, happy now etc'. Apart from that everything was OK. Stood up to my boss OK with the need to run for the ciggies after.

Horrible, horrible nights sleep though. I was so tired last night I was in bed at 22.50, 23.20 I was wide awake craving. Sorted that out but all night I was having nightmares, not being able to sleep. I find that in the in between sleep and wakes I can't apply the brain thing that Allen Carr suggests, therefore so close to having a cigarette and I really don't want to.

Has anyone else had a bad experience trying to sleep? The grumpiness I feel today is from lack of sleep, not nicotine craving!!

On a positive note, that's 35 hours and 18 minutes a non smoker.

    Your feedback would be appreciated.

If it is any consolation, it is said that the physical withdrawal symptoms reach their 'peak' after about two days - which is about where you are at. Therefore things can only get easier from here on in.

Hang in there. Well done everyone! Here's to a smoke free weekend!!!

I am also in that position of Bad nights sleep and some wierd dreams not so much nightmares. Last night was better no dreams as I remember. It will get better. I am now on day 16 this time 381.75 hours approx.

As Kimbo_Kim said keep it up it is worth it. :T

On a haapier note I am now able to drink a glass of wine without a craving for a ciggy. The first time in 16 days. :j

Yes, my sleep was quite disturbed for the first week or so, and was quite ratty. As a smoker, I would have gone into panic at the thought of not having any in the house, and if it got really bad, I might have made a dash to the all night petrol station. The new, tranquil me finds it helpful to breathe deeply and focus on the reasons I stopped. It's quite alien to me I can tell you! If you have followed the Allen Carr rules, you will have a list of the reasons you want to stop. Commit it to memory or put it on your bedside table for use in emergencies.

On another note my feared weight gain hasn't actually materialised (it was PMT-related fluid retention, as was my rattiness PMT-related), so this has given me another psychological boost.

generally Im fine, however, I have noticed 2 weak spots in when I smoke ( as I have smoked 4 this week) adn Im really not impressed with myself

    1. being on the phone on long serious conversations ( 2 smoked, 2 occasions)
2.being in a situation with someone who was stressed and smoking and offered me one. ( 2 smoked, one before stressful event one after)

DOes anyone have any tips on how to deal with these "hotspots?"
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
