  • No willpower required with Allen Carr, Boatie! How many ciggies do you have left? Probably best to smoke them all while you're reading the book and save one for the final ciggy moment. I ran out before the end (didn't even have one left for the final smoke ritual), and haven't bought or smoked any since (17 days smoke-free!).

Well done to everyone else who's persevering:T :T :T Keep it up.

  • Hey everyone, I hope the challenge is going well. If nothing else...think of the savings!! Don't know about you, but I find that just as addictive...
yeah! I'm now addicted to calculating how much I've saved every day (not sure it's any healthier as an addiction though:rotfl:)

It occurred to me earlier that there must be some degree of madness on this thread - to contemplate giving up smoking when we're all facing varying degrees of financial hardship / challenges.

Think when our finances are back in order and I've quit smoking I might consider climbing Everest or swimming the Channel.
can't think of a BETTER time to contemplate stopping:)

  • Hi Everyone,

Still going well, glad to see so many people are still on track! I'm doing good now, seem to be seeing some benefits - better skin, better sleep etc.

Lynzpower lots of love and good vibes to you xxxx

Morning all, I've got 18 pages left to read and 4 ciggies. Will read the rest of the book and smoke the last of my ciggies today so by the time I leave work tonight I will be a non-smoker!
