  • Thanks guys, for some strange reason i thought i was missing something when i had a fag!

What? - oh er yeah! - Lung Cancer.............................DOH!

To all those with terrible craveings, can't think straight, think a cig will fix it. Can i just say seeing as though i have just been there, done it, you will feel 100 times worse for giving into the "DEMON", i had done nearly 4 days, and now just reverted back to square one!, Simple as that! Wasn't worth it, didn't even particularly enjoy it! Made me all dizzy!

    Well done Kimbo_Kim,

I passed the test last night as well. Was not offered any ciggy's and the fact that everyone knew I had stopped meant that the ones that were smoking seamed to cut down on the amount they smoked.

up to 245 1/2 hours now.

14730 minutes or 883800 seconds approx sounds so long

  • Hello everyone,

I'm getting on really well. After a miserable few days I've turned a corner and seem to e coping just fine.

Apologies I've not been around much, I'm back at college now, so less time on the internet, but I'll drop in where I can. I'm so thrilled at how the thread is going, which is why I've thanked everyone, the support and knowing we're in the same boat has made such a difference to my mental attitude this time round.

I went and bought myself a new purse this morning for a tenner as a little traet for doing a week and a bit and I'm still £27 in profit! I feel rich and money isn't disappearing from my purse anymore. I recommend everyone thinking of a £10 treat and getting it as a reward, I feel on top of the world today.

Keep at it everyone, you're doing brilliantly!

    Good morning all,

Had several "critical" moments over the weekend where I'd picked up some cash to go and buy some cigarettes but managed to resist. Had a really lousy nights sleep last night, I've heard several people comment on that, does anybody know why stopping smoking should affect your sleep patterns?

It's definitely a lot harder to quit than I'd ever imagined and think I'll read the Allen Carr book again just as another weapon in my !!!!nal.

How did everybody else get on??
  • well ive been keeping busy this weekend taking the hedge down in the garden and putting fence up, so this has been a good distraction, not really thought about cigarettes till the evening when i sit down, but still resisting and been smoke free for over a week now and saved £30 :) which is great! Yes ive been having bad sleep too and have also been really bunged up and felt at some points like i had flu and cold kind of symptoms, also coughing up loads of gunk, wont go into that any more, but generally feeling quite ok, how is everyone else doing?
