[...] I'm really sorry. :embarasse
Hehe! Don't worry - we're, after all, only human.
Is this a change btw as I could've sworn that my previous pair from GD with the silver package included the UV - perhaps they need to make an add-on (just a suggestion) of £5 or so (like the sunglasses without the tint) for UV as paying £55 for the gold just to get it is a bit steep.
Thanks for double checking.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

We put UV with sunglasses by default as the darker tint means the pupil of your eye opens up wider and can let in more UV light. This is less of an issue with clear lenses as you shouldn't be letting in more light than you would be than if you weren't wearing glasses at all.
If you do want a UV coating applied to the standard lenses then you can arrange for that by ordering over the phone with one of our Dispensing Opticians.“Official Company Representative

I am glad your glasses came in good time for your wedding.
I ordered mine last night - felt like Christmas looking through them all. I ordered just plain for my reading glasses as they were out of stock of emily-gold but when I was browsing this morning to see any updates on my order (a wee bit impatient) I noticed emily was back so I arrange to swap the ones I have ordered with emily.
All reps have been nice - been really patient with my questions.
Looking forward to getting them - my boss got a pair today she had ordered before promotion with 30% off and they look cool and she says she never has any problems with them.

So glad to hear it! I'll tell Derek & Diane in the lab & warehouse as I know they both made sure it got through quickly.
I really hope you have a wonderful day. _party_“Official Company Representative

Hi there, sorry for not getting back to you. We've dropped the price on a number of frames down to £39 from £49, and there are 51 pairs available at that price at the moment. There are 91 frames available up to £49.
Each day the range will change slightly as all the frames that are received back from all the returned Home Trials will be put back into stock and be available on the site again.“Official Company Representative

Thr problem is that all the frames left in the female £39 range are basically two styles, and the ones you have reduced are the same style as what was already left.
Is there any chance that some of the modern chunky frame, rectangular wide arm styles will be reduced? They were the first to sell out and I would guess its what most people are waiting for.0 -
I was contacted by GD rep on the phone regarding a stocking query, and was advised that they were restocking the *out of stock* frame styles and that they would be made available to me at the previously offered price if the offer end date passed before they became available to order.
Reading the replies posted by *glassesdirect company representative* I can see no indication that the out of stock styles will be restocked in any quantities to meet demand.
The person simply states that these styles will become available from returned samples which have been provided to those lucky enough to have got thier orders in before the ordering system collapsed.
Leaving aside the question of timescale involved in the returning of unwanted sample frames, the rep assumes that there are going to be the out of stock styles amongst those returned. The whole reason why the styles are out of stock is that they are in demand generally, so the quantity of returns will be limited.
As to the styles which have been reduced in price to supplement the styles which have experienced high demand, what makes GD believe that PINK coloured mens style glasses are a suitable alternative for the Gunmetal finish styles?
To some extent, I agree with earlier postings that appear to accuse GD of dumping thier unsaleable colours and styles into the pot to cover up the fact that they should have made suitable arrangements with thier suppliers before making this offer.
Does *glassesdirect company representative* have any positive and catagorical statement to give regarding restocking styles or extensions to the time period of the offer based on the date when the restock occurs?0 -
I have a voucher if someone wants to PM me. I got this for my son but his prescription has changed so much that GD can't make them for him. Not sure if there are any other companies that go as high as-5.75, i anyone knows please do let me know?0
