    linkys work for me.

I cannot recommend Glasses Direct highly enough I got a couple of pairs a month or so ago and I am well impressed with the quality and customer service.

    Cashback also?
  • Just wondered if anyone knew if you are able to select one pair of sunglasses and one pair of normal glasses.
    Thanks
  • Just one point to note.

Most online glasses companies do not offer all types of prescription, so before buying the voucher, check that your prescription is offered

Fatcheese are offering £5.50 cashback for any purchase over £5 with mycitydeal, effectively making the purchase £3.50 for 2 pairs of glasses.
  • The Glasses direct offer looks interesting until you discover it ONLY included standard lenses on fairly standard frames - so if you want bi-focals or tints or photochromics, or god forbid, Titanium or stainless frames, be prepared to shell out more towards the hundreds!

A better web deal all together can generally be had from American optical websites.

My wife has bought her glasses for years this way at a fraction of the costs of High Street retailers (license to print money etc., etc.), and much less than Glasses direct, EVEN after all the costs of USA/UK shipment, via Zennioptical (put in Google to find them).

For instance standard frame single vision 'eyeglasses' as the yanks call them are available for around £5.50 + shipping at todays exchange rates! AND bi-focal lenses add just £11! AND the choice of frames at this price is dozens!

    Worth a look

Does anyone know if this will work with their 30/20/10% offer they are running this week, can't find any terms and conditions for the voucher to see whether you are unable to use them together!

Nevermind, just called them and you can't! Shame, would have made them only £7.50! Always worth a try!

  • What do you think is a fair charge to pay a high street optician to get them to fit properly?
