You can certainly get 2 pairs, but you'll need to pay for the sunglasses tint - which is £10 and includes a UV block. Would work out as £23 for 1 pair normal and 1 pair prescription sunnies.“Official Company Representative

Just to follow up on this:
While Glasses Direct do not carry out sight tests and therefore this is comment is not relevant to us, our qualified opticians felt it essential to point out the inaccuracy of this final comment.
Within the UK sight testing is regulated by law under the opticians act and can only be carried out by a registered optometrist, ophthalmologist or doctor to certain standards defined by the General Optical Council.
Therefore there is no evidence to suggest that a free sight test would be of any lesser quality than one for which a customer is charged.
A sight test has to be carried out to the same standards and by opticians qualified to the same level regardless of cost. We would also point out that the optician is required by law to issue a written prescription.
Just to clarify, when you say qualified opticians, do you mean dispensing opticians (i.e. qualified to dispense spectacles only) or optometrist (qualified to do everything, including eye exams and dispensing)?Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Dispensing Opticians, qualified to dispense spectacles. As I said, we don't do eye examinations.
Sorry for the confusion.“Official Company Representative

Hmmm. Is that on the groupon site? We don't control that site so I'm not sure about that message - let me see if I can find out.“Official Company Representative

I think that's normal... I ordered mine yesterday and it said that right up until the end of the day and didn't appear to change no matter how many customers ordered!
Not sure if anyone knows... Martin's post says that the first batch of vouchers will go live today and the second lot tomorrow. I ordered mine yesterday as part of what I assumed to be the 'first batch' (presuming the 'second batch' would be anyone ordering today), but my voucher says it doesn't go live until tomorrow... it seems that no matter which day you order, whether it goes live today or tomorrow is random! Seems a bit unfair... I was amongst the first to order, but most of the good stock will be taken by the people who were lucky enough to be part of the 'first batch'!
Correct me if I'm wrong anyone; that's just how it seems from my end!
