MFiT - Take2 member #126: Mtge at start (12/12/09) £60,000, Target (12/12/12) £6,000. Mtge 09/2012 = £0
Actual mortgage free date: August 2012 :j :j:j0 -
I am now more concerned - don't mean to get confused.
I live in Scotland - we get free tests here - so is our tests bad in any way or should I have to travel down to England to get one?
Our money situation is very tight and to top it off I get told I need glasses both distance and reading - so this offer helps me.
I hope to get them ordered once my wages go in.
Wish people on here wouldn't totally critise - it frightens some of us.:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -

Have a look at this previous post on the issue. Basically no - you shouldn't have to worry about the quality of free tests.

If we do this we go bust... no ifs no buts!! who then will do your eye test?
I am also an optician and this is simply not the case. In the US, many states (at least half) prohibit the sale of glasses from an optician (eye doctor in the US) who tests your site. They have a thriving business with customers having regular sight tests and as far as I am are the US has no major issues with ocular health.
I for one would welcome the separation of sight testing and the sale of glasses.0 -

In fact, your sight test in Scotland might actually be to a slightly higher standard than that carried out in England. All sight tests in Scotland are carried out under the NHS who are using opticians as an early stage proxy to reduce demand on GP/Hospital services. I don't remember all the details but there are certain requirements by the NHS in Scotland that are only recommendations in England.0 -

Few questions if the Rep's still here,
1) I have Stockholm Alpine 08s currently - can anyone tell me the dimensions of these because they're perfect and I want more!
EDIT - Why are my Stockholms now £89 and not the £54 they were
!!! That's somi inflation in 1 year!
2) I'm looking for a nice pair for my wedding on 31st July and then obviously for everyday use - anyway I can have them delivered before then?
3) - The reason I'm after new glasses is because my lenses (got all upgrades bar making them thinner) have chips out of them where the kids have dropped them. Are they plastic or glass and is there anyway to prevent this (bar killing the kids?)
Thanks for this great offer.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.
