Well this afternoon didn't quite go to plan. The garden tidy up took all afternoon! Still I'm very pleased I did it and the garden looks much better. Planted out all the reduced shrubs into the garden so they're in place for now. Then planted out some of the winter pansier and violas into pots and baskets and still have some more to do next weekend alongside bulb planting as just ran out of time today

Mr dog didn't get his planned walk but we still went on the longer regular route instead of the walk around the lake.

Back to work tomorrow and back the routine of coming and going in the dark now the clocks have changed

Reached my NSD target today :j of 15/15 and now extending to 16 for Oct

Had a nice fabby comment today about looking fabby and a compliment about my weight loss. Here's hoping a couple of lbs have come off meaning I'm almost there. I hope so!

What else, have meal planned for the week ahead from the freezer continuing the eat out of the freezer and create some space in there. Quite a nice tea of leftover rosti and cheese and lentil loaf I made ages ago with beans. Chuck in the oven to reheat and job done, nice and quick after work.

Planning on going for a run tomorrow after work so will have the same again as its quick and easy and creates some space in the freezer - slowly! Not particularly looking forward to running in the dark again after the lovely light evenings. I'm sure I'll get used to it pretty soon and need to get back out there again after a couple of weeks not running with this virus.

    Totals for Oct
    NSD = 16/15 - result!
    AFD = 17/31 - must try harder

    New totals for Nov
    NSD 15
    AFD 30

Let's see how I get on!

Today - went for a run and it went ok after 2 weeks off. I took the dog on a longish walk. Ate a vanilla slice and having the other one in a bit as it goes out of date

I put the heating on today at long last after feeling fed up of the damp and cold inside. Cosy now and lasted until 2 Nov this year.

A little bit of comfort eating - bad couple of days - 2 vanilla slices, they're gone now and no more. Feel better now after some exercise and fresh air and routine. Back to normal tomorrow eating wise before weigh day on Friday

Also ETA - put £2 into the £2 pot, coppers into copper tin and 20p into 20p tin and printed off 2 lost clubcard vouchers for £6 and put these in the voucher purse

1lb weight loss this week. Not very much so I expect going over the daily kcal allowance didn't improve this too much.
Am feeling better now after a not nice incident this week.
Planning a run after work to get back into the swing of things

Happy as lost 1" from my waist and 1/2" from my calf and can feel clothes are looser now than a couple of weeks ago
just 4lb to go and at target weight so need to pick the running back up now I feel better from the virus and hopefully I will get there by the end of the month

No NSD so far in Nov but will get one in over the weekend and maybe today will be one

Apart from that what else do I need to do? The usual of cleaning, garden tidying up, sorting out mess, pickling and preserving, bread baking and have most of the weekend off studying. Also need to plan something nice for tea this weekend - thinking a lamb shank would be nice and have one in the freezer. Better have a shuffle around in there to find something good for tomorrow and have leftover cottage pie for tonight after the run

Glad to hear you've recovered from the virus & well done on the inches & weight loss.

I am in awe that you manage this alongside all your cooking, pickling, preserving etc. I cannot read your diary when hungry, it makes my mouth water :D

Good to hear that! Never realised reading here made you hungry!

I was very hungry today after my run and shovelled down some fudges x 2 and a treatsize pack of buttons to recover (whoops!). Still more or less evened out the over kcal allowance today with running and walking - phew!

Life is pretty busy again now as am back at uni now until next summer, work and still trying to keep exercising now the clocks have changed

Wasn't a NSD afterall today after I grabbed a couple of the £6 knife blocks in Mr T's, went back to work and told 2 friends who ran off to buy another 4 and 2 for presents and themselves. Gotta love that Mr T's sometimes when they decide to do these random reductions. Like the big cast iron casserole dish for £7.50 last year that went down a storm as presents.

Mine are for presents - afterall £6 for a rather good knife block, pretty good going I think. Also got a halfprice massive tobelerone and Thorntons santa which I am trying hard not to break into. Better put them away quick for presents before I cave in!

No wine tonight, maybe a glass tomorrow will see and a run in the morning then a zoom up to the supermarket and a walk and back into town and a walk in the afternoon. Hmm, lets see how I get on with that plan eh?

Thought I'd take advantage of a couple of offers

3 Christmas present books from Mr A online megastore £5 each from Jamie's Spain, River Cottage Everyday and Great British Bake Off - all hardback too and free delivery. They will go nicely with the food hampers and I might keep one from me

Then took the plunge to renew diet club membership while it had 20% off. Thought I would as when I finally reach my target weight I'll need some tips to maintain the weight and not put it straight back on again and the food diary option is how I have got to where I am now. Its the only thing that I've stuck to for this length of time and it works for me so the £6 off means I'm ready to go until March 2012

have 3% left to lose or 4lbs

    Start weight 11st 10lb
    Weight now 10st 8lb
    Left to lose 4lb

Feels good to be at this point, never thought I would get here but I did. Just goes to show what you can do with making changes to what you eat, no need to fork out for gym fees. Its all about keeping active and doing things. It works for me!

I'm not totally good on it though as I've gone over for most days this week. Still next week is a new week and ready to go again for the race to the target!
