Right then, feeling a bit better today which is good

Secondly, trying to knuckle down to some dissertation work - just re-jigging a draft to resend in for comments and really hoping I'm nearly there. TV is turned off and I'm logging off from here too to cut down the distractions!

Sent in another draft version - awaiting yet more feedback. Did a bit of reading trying to make sense of things - hmm not too good. Hard to concentrate when not feeling well. Started to feel a bit worse this afternoon again so not going back to work tomorrow as I planned today when I felt better this morning

NSD 12 today and tomorrow will be too.

Not much else to report apart from went way over the kcal allowance today to cheer myself up. Never mind tomorrow is another day

Will attempt some more reading tomorrow while clamped to the settee to see if I can make sense of things ready for the final version to be submitted

NSD 13/15 today, number 14 will be gained tomorrow then just one more to over the next few days.

Feeling much worse today but at least that should be a sign the virus is on its way. Not up to much as really don't feel like it. Have had a hot honey and lemon and some very warm and spicy soup to keep me warm.

No feedback received yet so will do some reading this afternoon ready to pop in at short notice

Took Mr Dog on a nice walk this afternoon to be out in the nice afternoon sunshine and to blow the cobwebs away. Glad I went as it did the trick with the cobwebs and came back to a nice cup of hot tea to warm me up.

Not done any reading as can't be bothered to concentrate on it, keep thinking about the spends and what I need to get in and what I need to save up for and so on and on.

Its pretty chilly in here now and all the windows are now closed after letting some fresh air in today. Tomorrow looks like rain so can catch up on some reading tomorrow as I recover from this grotty virus.

Feeling better today - time for a hot water honey and lemon and write shopping list for tomorrow.

Then its onto reading time for a couple of 1hr sessions to see if I can make sense of a few terms to use.

Will attempt a bit of cleaning today - BR and bathroom and sort some washing out for tomorrow and put some fruit onto soak for a Christmas cake to bake tomorrow

I did some more reading and have made a lot of alterations and then sent in the final proposal version for the dissertation - I hope it passes then I can get on with it for real. When I have a minute that is!

Well its NSD 14/15 today making it 6 in a row I think!

It did pass! Yipee! Now onto the next stage but this means I can have a more relaxing weekend than I thought I would. Other bonus is I feel so much better today too.

Pleased its gone through however there is still a long way to go and a lot of work even at this early stage. Will be nice to have a relaxing weekend as the next few are going to be full of studying! Think I'll concentrate on getting as much preserving and Christmas cake baking done as I can to free up some time later on when I'll feel really pushed for time juggling life and this course

I made a big decision today.

I have thought long and hard about it for the last few weeks.

I decided it was about time I did it.

So what did I do...

.............I put my £40 birthday money into my sealed pot challenge instead of spending it on something else now. I had a count up and realised it was already at £140 instead of £120 after missing a few months contributions. Now is at £180 and is due £40 to make it back up to the right amount. And even better instead of spending it on the planned leather Dubarry boots for £240 (who am I kidding, one day maybe!) I'm going to buy a much needed pair of walking boots in the spring instead and the rest can go towards some spending money.

Thank goodness for the sealed pot challenge - I have finally saved some money up!

Let's try again after I lost the last post

Well today I picked up some great winter garden bargain massively reduced so thats me busy on Sunday planting out before the worst of the weather arrives and lots of tidying up.

Very pleased with what I bought. Violas reduced to 20p, garden shrubs reduced to £1 and £2.50 for £9.99 and £17.99. Also bought the rest of the baking stuff to make the Christmas cakes today and this weekend and a few winter stock items
