Back from a really good 40min speed conditioning run. 534kcals burnt off- yeah!

Lovely to run around the park with low cloud covering the lake. Bit nippy out there though - autumn is most definitely here!

Well its nearly rugby time and stew recipe finding time

2 stew recipes found. One with potatoes and one with dumplings. uhmming and ahhing whether to avoid the dumps as they really add up the kcals and fat allowances. Looks like my mind is made up for the potato ones to use up what I already have in - potatoes and parsnips and celery. Ok that's what I'll do then and feel virtuous for avoiding the dumplings. Better off using up what I have in thats fresh first and think about food cupboards later on in the year.

Washing pretending to dry outside on the line in the sun and nippy day.

6 large portions of leek and potato soup made at a cost of approx £2.50 - 41p per portion.

Had one for an earlier lunch as mega hungry this morning after that run and very nice and tasty it was too. Looks like its time to nip into the garden for a couple of hours to plant out some roses and do a bit of pruning etc

Had a little think about a meal plan for the week ahead, something like this
Sat - stew and cabbage (run day)
    Sun - leftovers (run day)
    Mon - leftovers (walk day)
Tues - haddock, potato and veg (day off)
Wed - salmon, potato and veg (run day)
Thurs - duck leg, potato and red cabbage (day off)
Fri - fish curry (run day)
Sat - leftovers? or light tea of beans on toast if out for lunch (run day)
Sun - pork shank braised in beer or pot roasted beef brisket

Lunches are soup - minestrone or leek and potato, cheese sandwich on uni day. Snacks are cereal bars and fruit with the odd fudge thrown in and chocolate mouuse and fromage frais.

May not end up in the order really but something along those lines

My stew was delicious! Loads nicer than expected and a whole meal in one with lovely potatoes cooked in it yummy scrummy!

I have treated my face to a face mask, my feet to a de-hard skin and moisturiser session.

Best of all was all the jobs completed for today and a NSD too making it 5/15!

Well I'm up and about ready for a run in a little while, not sure if the loaf is baking in the BM after I set the timer last night!

Aiming for a NSD today, have drawn out money for Monday so can count that too as its in the purse for a uni day to include a couple of coffee's, train fare and then I'll take everything else with me eg lunch and a couple of drinks.

Then today is cleaning and ironing and should all be done by lunchtime

The loaf did bake and the timer worked - phew! Meaning I could have a couple of slices of toast after that run. I've run for the last 3 days in a row for the first time in a long time. I can't remember the last time I did this, if at all. Anyway the interval runs are going well and I can feel my speed improving which is the whole point of these runs so they are shorter but have more intense phases. Really pleased with how this is going and really good to run first thing in the morning and get it done for the day instead of putting it off!

Rugby time then cleaning by which point my legs should have recovered a bit!

Finished the cleaning, eaten a lovely lunch of leek and potato soup and bread. Tackling the ironing in a little while

Spent a few moments thinking about the preserving left to do
    Christmas chutney
    Pickled cabbage (sm jars)
    Pickled onions (sm jars)
Finish off crab apple vodka and sloe gin
    Chilli pepper jelly

    Baking and stuff to do
    Christmas cakes x 2
    Turkish delight
    Biscotti
    Peppermint creams
Flavoured fudges - coffee and walnut, rum and raisin
    Nut and caramel pinwheels
    Granola

Just need to work out what to use the damsons for - pickles, jam or chutney?

All jobs done for this weekend and back from a nice walk with the dog in the bright autumn sunshine. Good to go somewhere new which is close by and never explored by me! We're both having a rest now!

Burnt off 999kcals today according to diet plan

Anyway came home and made some chocolate cornflake buns for a few reasons.
    1. To use up what I have in
    2. Have these instead of the cereal bars I keep buying
    3. Work out if they are a lowish kcal and fat content - they are :D

Might do an hour or so on the dissertation or might not :p will see how I feel later on which means I probably won't :rotfl:

Plus it was a NSD weekend - a bit close at times but made it and now on 6/15
