You called today a lazy day, but then you mention ironing. I call that work. Although, I don't iron very often as my DW reckons I don't iron clothes properly.
I told her it's the thought that counts. I only iron shirts and blouses, when needed now, because otherwise she re-irons them.
You seem to be so well organised with your plan. I hope you're feeling better after your stinking cold.
Have a good week!

2 long days at uni with a total of 2hrs walking per day for the last 2 days exercise. Hoping to go for a run tomorrow as the cold kicked back in again yesterday and today, but then eased off this afternoon.
Lots of uni work to get on with from this point until end Jan 2012 when 2 lots are due in. So this Sat will be having a nice relaxing day and do a few hours study on Fri night and Sunday alongside everything else that needs doing.
Plan is
Wed - work and run after work. Couple of hours study
Thurs - work and housework and sort out folders asap
Fri - run, work, an hour study
Sat - run, day out, finish off cleaning
Sun - run, garden tidy up, ironing, couple of hours study, get stuff ready for uni on Monday
Mon - uni, day off runningfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
No running today as still feel coldy and coughy. Might go on Friday and have couple of days off to get rid of it
Did a bit of uni sorting out today and will do some reading on Friday.
NSD 4 today and hoping to get another one tomorrow. Apart from that not much else to report. Saturday will be a busy day and looking forward to that one!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Massive money shock last week - not a good one either. Way worse than I thought. Don't know how this happened
Reigning in all spends planned for next month to the extreme. I have plenty of stocks so will focus on using these up first and will probably just need usual milk and veg and fruit. Plenty of household items in, toiletries in. Will need some more dog food next month and will put some money away for that.
Need to get the a/c back in shape as first priority. Not sure how I got from a point of paying off some of the cc earlier this year to this point which is much much worse. I didn't think I was spending that much but I must be. Have thought long and hard about it and still can't work out what has happened.
Payday is next week - MOT, bill first priorities, then dog food. For me fruit, veg, milk then cut back on meat, use up pasta stocks, tins and frozen things. Continue to take soup for lunch and cut back on squash cartons and fromage frais, cereal bars, crisps. Diet club paid up until March 2012. No need for any shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, shower gel, etc. Plenty in to use up.
Have money out for uni tomorrow and for some milk, meaning next week will be full of NSD including all weekend. Today is NSD 5final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi Fedupandskint.
I have been following your diary for a while now and have found it to be an absolute tonic!! Sorry to hear finances have taken a turn for the worse. I hope you can soon sort it out.
What have you been doing this weekend ?0 -
Hi sidneysmum - glad you found this a tonic! Thanks for popping by and nice to hear from you
This weekend I've been tidying the garden up by sweeping up the leaves, filling bags for leaf mould, filling up the recycle bin ready for the final collection, cleaning, ironing, getting the cellar ready for the new meter installation, long dog walk, bathing the dog, drying the dog, getting stuff ready for uni tomorrow, meal planned for the week ahead using up whats in the cupboards and freezer and stretching out meat for meals as much as possible.
Halved the chicken breast stir fry into 2 meals for tonight and tomorrow and the noodle portion too. Hopefully this should help the final weight loss too over the next few weeks.
Posted this on the diet site after the question was what made you start dieting in the first place?
"I started back in May because I was at my heaviest and for the last 10yrs weight has been creeping up and up from 10st 7lb (ideal weight) to 11st 10lb (heaviest weight). It made me start because all my clothes were tight and my size 14 work trousers were tight and my body shape had changed to pear/apple shaped and I put this down to getting older, not realising it was putting weight on that was causing it.
Even though I started exercising again the year before the weight still crept on and I couldn't work out why. Before this I had tried a series of faddy diets over that time and some weight came off and of course went straight back on again.
Its taken me from May to now to get to 10st 7lb and I am so happy my clothes fit perfectly again and I can see the difference in me. I'm happy I've finally done it and lost the weight that I wanted to lose for all that time. Its this food diary which finally helped me work out what was going wrong. Eg using lots of olive oil in food, cheese and of course eating lots of crisps, chocolate and biscuits
I'm happy now I've done it, only a 3-4lbs to go for final target weight"
The long dog walk in the fog this afternoon cleared out my mind of the low mood caused by money worries so that was a good thing. I will keep this up for exercise and clearing out my mind of worries instead of dwelling on them endlessly. I will do everything I possible can to get my a/c back in order asap
Last thing for today - I focused on how much I had in stock - have lots of things and will be very strict and in control of myself about not restocking anything when I already have one in stock. I have a lot of things in stock and there is no need to buy anything on offer and I must remember this alongside everything else
Today I used up a sachet of hair mask, face mask and nail oil. Which just reduced the stocks a little so no need to replace anything at all
Next thing to use up is the hair mask which is half used up, finish off the hair conditioner which came with the hair dye, then it will be the eye cream, a shower gel and a cleanser. Again, no need to worry, there's plenty in the cupboard to use up
I have meal planned away to the nth degree so should go well on the diet plan and the financial plan too. Just need to find out some pasta recipes as have a load of this to use up next. Not too sure what I'll make apart from pasta and tomato sauce, think I'd better go and find some recipes which use up some things I already have in to reduce the food spends even morefinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Today was a NSD with uni money already in the purse and planned for
Spent £5 train fare and 85p tea money and that was it all day. I took everything else I needed all food and snacks and drinks
Not much else to report apart from 2 and half hours walking today so no running.
I tidied my nails up instead of a run and filed, buffed and nail oiled them so they are nice and healthy and shiny now. Will go for a run tomorrow after work all being well and plan for an hours reading tomorrow night to prep for next week at unifinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Ran tonight after nearly talking myself out of it. Really enjoyed it and it went well. So at least thats some exercise done and a smile for doing it. Thinking about going for another one tomorrow too.
Another smile today cheering me up as I lost a further 2lb coming closer to the final target weight. Only 2lbs left to go now and I'm there. So yes, that did make me smile as I have almost made it to the goal I set myself every year as I wish to lose at least a stone in weight. And yes, I have done it, at long long last I have made the change I wanted to and it has made me so happy. I really want to keep the weight off too and hoping the stress of uni assignments, Christmas, winter and so on don't help me pile it back on. I think the diet changes are so ingrained now they are natural so should be ok. not quite there yet, but nearly there...

Hello,
just catching up with your whirlwind of activity.
I'm so pleased for you about the weight/size loss :j I know just how hard you've worked at if so you must feel very proud of your achievement.
Considering all the delicious cooking & preserving you do I think it's doubly awesome
.
I like your goal list for 2012, camping alone seems brave, but I bet you'd have such a fab time with the dog to keep you company.
I keep thinking about learning to play an instrument, not to any great standar, but it would be great to be able to play at least one thing really well ...
Good luck for kicking off those final 4 lbs

Too kind Lula and thank you!
Went for a run after work which went well again - think I can feel the strength and speed improving at long last and I'm getting a bit quicker too. Anyway, may go again tomorrow if the weather is ok then have Friday off with a long dog walk in the afternoon for a change on my day off this week. Then a mixture of running and walking this weekend! How exciting eh? May not be but I love being outside in the great outdoors and the fresh air cheers me up and the exercise works a treatfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
