Just back from a 2hr fruit scrump walk with my dog and collected rather a lot of crab apples that I'm now going to attempt to turn into something tasty!
First up is crab apple vodka then crab apple jelly then see how many are left to turn into apple butter and so on....final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Crab Apple Vodka is brewing away in the back of a dark cupboard - let's see how that turns out!
8 jars of Cider Apple Butter make from 1.5kg of free Bramleys, 600ml cider and sugar with a few spices
Costs = £2.60 approx price per jar = 32p
Had a little taste - taste's pretty good!
Tomorrow will have a go at the Spicy Crab Apple Jelly and also the Apple Chutney if I have enough jars as running out rapidly! Looks like a little visit to Lakeland is in order to pick up some more jars and lidsfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Up at last - another lie in!
So today is catching up on housework day - rain stopped play here then tackle the chutney
Aim for a NSD to make it 13/15 today and go for a run this afternoon then start jelly as didn't bother yesterday
Tried the apple butter on toast today, tasty and good job I didn't boil it any longer otherwise it would have been rock hard!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
So far today
Have made 4 jars of apple chutney using up the rest of the bramleys - 1 x 500ml jar and 3 x 250ml jars
Costs came in low estimated total costs without jar costs of £1.20
Cost per 250ml jar = 24p (classing 500ml jar as 2)
Then dragged myself up to clean the LR and bathroom
Next is the BR and then out for a run and walk the dog. Back to a kitchen clean and sweep and mop the floors then start the jelly making process
Friday is town and shopping day and ironing day and practically all is done ready for the weekend leaving sat free!
Oh yes, a NSD too making it a definite 13/15final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

That might be about it for today apart from starting the jelly. Just come back from a run and that was really hard going. Don't think I had enough to eat today to fuel myself.

3 and half jars of crab apple jelly made - hoping it sets as I took it off the heat a bit early to try and avoid the rockhard nature of setting I got last time I attempted jelly making
Have ordered 2 fleeces from spargos to collect today which come in at half price the cheapest I can find them elsewhere. That's 2 more presents done for the winter hamper and its almost done now
Off to do some grocery shopping and errands now before physio later on and then curry making for tea - yum!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Bl**dy h*ll how much food has gone up  almost double the cost a year ago  £67 for this week, not very happy about this and will have to reign in for the rest of the the month
Anyway collected the 2 fleeces for £10.99 each. Great softshell jackets - one for me to replace my absolutely knackered one (rrp.£36 or £24.99 depending upon which shop they are from). Other one for brother's hamper, got this instead of the jacket as he already has a couple of these and this softshell should come in handy.
Fleece £3.99 rrp. £16
Fleece £4.99 rrp. £16
Jacket £12.99 rrp. £36
Softshell £10.99 rrp. £36
Total £28.97 rrp. £88
Saving £59.03
Pretty good going :T
Will update my lists and budgets tonight to check the costs against the budgetsfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
