Whoops went 500 cals over today with half a portion of chip shop chips - was really craving them and decided to have them. Nice for a change, naughty though!

Had to put the dreaded liquid gold in the car today at a cost of £40 squid.

On a different note - not sure if I'm running tomorro, depends if it chucks it down with rain or not. Found some ideas for the dissertation proposal at last and need to devise some search strategies now as a starting point and then will really make a start at last!

Trying for a couple of NSD for Wed and Thurs to get up to 6 for this week, let me see how I get on

Dissertation reading for tonight and run tomorrow. Decided to not run for several reasons - manky toe blister, feel tired and can't be bothered. Means I need to go tomorrow for sure really for sure!

Anyway not a NSD today, caved into some little treats to keep me going over the next few days. Will go for one tomorrow. Oh isn't it always tomorrow too!

Plan for tonight is read the search strategy section and then plan some searches for literature. Off I go!

Read quite a bit of the book last night and some things are getting a bit clearer now for searching and recording. Also have an idea to start the focus on now for the study

Running tonight for 6 ish miles - not too bad overall, feel fitter more of the time however my blister isn't thanking me too much at the moment as it stings away!

Also managed a NSD at last!

Runs off for this weekend - I have a big infected toe! Super painful and swollen. Am now on super strength anti B's to sort it out so here's hoping it recovers quickly so I can keep the training going

Tonight is a nice curry, big nan and a beer to cheer myself up and I fancy some quite fancy fattening food! Weight has remained the same this week as last time I got weighed and that's ok with me as it feels like some more mm have come off with how my shirt fitted today. will have a measure up tomorrow and see if they have really or if its me imagining things!

Have had TMS on web stream for this afternoon and in the car - c'mon England with a declaration of 710 - 7 and a fantastic 294 to RoboCook. What a score and what a series. This is what DAB Radio was invented for! Just shows you can avoid the relentless drive of the paying sports channels and still get absolutely drawn into the game by the power of speech and atmosphere and the marvellous commentators

The recommended heavily salted water bath has made my foot feel a lot better. Thank goodness I asked the nurse at work to have a look at it this morning and that was only because the pain work me up in the wee small hours for about an hour in throbbing pain. I thought I had done something to my foot after the run yesterday even though nothing went wrong, anyway tracked the pain back to the blister area and spent a groggy time trying to drain out fluid to ease off the pain

Dr agreed that it was infected and if it gets worse then I have to go straight to A+E for even more super super strength anti B's

Looks like tomorrow's plans now need re jigging about with no run with this amount of discomfort/pain. Here's hoping the AB's kick in soon so normal gardening, walking and running service can be resumed!

Feeling pleased after the measurements this morning - all going well with more inches lost from hips, thigh and calf

    Overall have lost
    3" from waist
    3.5" from chest
    4.5" from hips
    1" from thighs
    1.5" from calf
    1" from arm
    1 dress size lost

I had no idea I had some many inches to lose from some areas! Feeling better now they're gone as clothes, not too surprisingly, fit so much better! looks like the running is doing the hard work for size loss if not weight loss.

I have lost 5lbs since may but much more inches. Well even if its coming off slowly it should stay off for longer as the eating habits change for longer too. Having said that having a bit of a weekend off as feeling pretty rubbish with the foot infection and super strength anti-B's plus family coming over tomorrow so a bit of baking and fudge making needs to be done ready for that!

I am going to portion up a reduced pizza I bought which is huge and usually I would cook it in one and eat most of it but I think I'll divide it into 3 and freeze the rest and I did manage to avoid the coleslaw today for once!

Not up too much today as feeling quite ropey - just some gentle cleaning and washing and general getting ready for tomorrow alongside quite a lot of sitting down and listening to the test match where India are continuing to play like they haven't turned up for this series

Right, 6hr pork is in cooking away for lunch today

Blearily stumbled across a Christmas present to go into the winter walking hamper for mum - will have to check it fits when its arrives but its early enough I don't think she'll remember it! A very nice fleece jacket that isn't too boxy or thick. I hope she will get plenty of wear out of it. Anyway will find out when it arrives.

Couple of things left to do. Clean the bathroom, sweep up outside and finish off lunch and one lot of washing.

Foot and toe feels better today as do I despite the early start at 5.30am!

Sunday roast went down well and it was a nice family day.

Will be getting another apple tree to go alongside the other one after my brother told me it was a great price and mum would like another one. Will have a mosey this week to see if they still have any for that price. Thought it would go down well!

Worked out kcals for today and have gone over by 600 including a full sunday roast, crumble and piece of cake - not too bad really considering!

NSD today too making it 6 now

Foot feels better today and think I'll do another salt bath tonight, busting to go for a run. Looks like I'd better not go for the next 2 days and will go maybe on Wed if all is much much better hopefully
