Why is it that you are so negative about everyones comments, if you are not careful you will be reported for abusive behaviour as negativity can be interpreted as abusive to someone in such a stressful situation.

I would hardly say my comment was Abusive!!

The born cynic in me doubts whether Harry or Tammy are real people. Most likely just a random made up name so that when the cheque doesn't arrive, you have no-one to quote,

"Harry and Tammy, nobody by those names working here Sir" will come the reply.

Hearing a promise over the phone stating,
"The cheque is in the post", is a WORLD away from there being a cheque in the post.

Blaming me is not going to get you a refund any quicker.

Also wasting time making phone calls is not going to get you a refund either. For fear of labouring a point...... DO IT ALL IN WRITING
Why would you want to give them even more of your money for the phone call they are charging you for??

In PAGE TWO of this thread, I informed you exactly what to do and where to send the letter.... I have led you to water... you do the rest.

    Abusive!!

I hope you never experience REAL abuse if you think Apple's comments are abusive!!!

IMO he is just a bit cynical of the umpteen people who seem to be magically debited by these loan companies when they have never given their bank details.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pull the other one its got bells on!!!

Do these people think the Loan Centre magiced their bank details up or perhaps drew them out of a hat...

No decent loan company will ask for your card number. Period!!! They ask for it so they can debit a brokerage fee. Simple as.

Calling somebody abusive because they have a different opinion than you is seriously dangerous!!!
    (c) Broke in Yorkshire. ( there are worse places ) :D

Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter!

Who cares? They aren't going to give the money back without a fight be it on day 1 or day 81.

    Get your letter off ASAP.
  • I am another idiot :o who got caught out by these, saw the money had been taken on Sat and thought it was my car insurance on further investigation I discovered it was these sharks.

There is nothing that I can see in the T&C's of £47.50 being taken from your account, but it does say you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days and you have to write or email!

Email has been sent giving them until 1pm today to respond, if they fail to respond then further action will be taken today which is me making a visit to the store in person thankfully I live 15 mins from where they are based.

So I guess its a watch this space...
  • So I got a reply email that says "they are looking into it" funnily enough at the same time I got a welcome email from them, as I wasnt specific enough on my email I will give them 24 hours to further respond before paying them a visit.
  • A few emails back and forth stating I can use my welcome pack each time and blindly ignoring the T&C's they have set out telling me I can have a refund, have told them that I will expect the refund to be processed tomorrow, this is going to be long and drawn out and more fool me for falling for it, but that dosent mean they are going to get away with it!
  • I have an interesting case...

I've never heard of this site...or applied to a loan with them...or anyone, but they've taken £67.50 from my account.

I think they've somehow fraudulently obtained my card details.

I've already been onto my bank about this and said I'd wait for them to refund me (which they agreed to do today after I EMAILED them my "cancellation authority" with a scanned in signature image in .doc format) to the card I never actually paid with. If they ask you to post something, refuse to and get it to them digitally with a real signature.

Me and the bank just want to see what happens and build up a case against them in general.

The amount of cut and paste e-mailage (I literally got a few of the same ones from Marvin...Martin and Harry (so dodgy).

If I see nothing tomorrow It's going straight to the police. The fact that I certainly didn't email them, and the fact that they had no record of any of the emails I provided with clearly means they've had my details sold to them or something. They literally said they have no details of basically anything of mine apart from my bank related postcode.

This is messed up beyond belief. I'll keep posted.
  • Oh, one more thing.

People are giving others !!!! about their Terms and Conditions and not reading them...well.

I did read them just to see why the hell they were trying to take money off all these people and indeed find out where this charge was mentioned...well, from what I saw...

They do mention that they charge you, but they do not say how much they're going to charge you, or when they will charge you.

This is so vague it's verging on VERY illegal. This should be made loud and clear on their website BEFORE you're charged.

No mention of this is made at all.

Also, I see people have been charged a couple of different amounts. There is NOTHING stating how much they're charging for what level of service.

This is essentially criminal. I'm sure it's not because they've said in the terms and conditions that they charge for a service, but they don't tell you how much, when or why really.

I hope they co-operate and listen to my very real and already in motion action that I'm taking against them.
  •
This company have taken £67.50 off of my partners debit card even though it hasnt been authorised.
We applied for a loan back in August and after entering our card details thought it seemed rather dodgy so came off the page, although we kept getting an error on page message at the bottom and the page wouldnt close. In the end we had to turn the PC off at the power button and thought no more of it. This was until Saturday when we checked my partners account after putting a cheque in to see the amount of £67.50 had been taken. I have emailed Loan Centre but not holding out much hope. If I have not heard anything by Friday then I will be taking the 20 minute drive to Alexandra Street in Southend and dealing with someone on a face to face basis. I have contact the bank about the charge and am waiting to hear back. I have also cancelled the original debit card we used and withdrawn all money from the account. Im gutted, cant beleive that I have been scammed by this company. More annoyed that if I can find pages and pages of complaints about these people why is someone not doing something to close this company down.
