If you want a refund it's quite simple just read the terms and conditions. Under the cancellation bit it says:Cancellation
Under the Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 you have a right to cancel your application within 14 days of receiving these terms and conditions and receive a refund. If You wish to cancel your application, You must write to us confirming your request to cancel your application, either in writing to: Customer Services, The Loan Centre, 46 Alexandra Street, Southend, Essex, SS1 1BJ or by email to help@loan-centre.net
So put down the phone and send a letter or email. There's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.0 -

My experience with the Loan Centre is that they will do anything possible to avoid issuing a refund. I cancelled and requested a refund by email, which complies with the T&Cs on their site.
After much persistence, they eventually told me to put a request in writing, which I did, and heard nothing. By law, they must give a full refund within 30 days, if the cancellation is actioned within 14 days of signing up with them. They seem to think that they can flought the law and get away with it.
I have now lodged an official complaint against then with the Financial Ombudsman. If you feel you have a legitimate case against this Company, I would advise you to contact the Ombudsman.
Neither the FSA nor the OFT can intervene in or investigate complaints against firms on behalf of the public; this is the role of a separate and independent body, the Financial Ombudsman Service (the Ombudsman). The Ombudsman can investigate complaints about firms that hold credit licences where the cause for complaint occurred on or after 6 April 2007.
