Glad all is going well Tirlittan
Just wrote a big long post and is disappeared
OH sent an email to his boss to ask about a transfer to Scotland and they are having a chat later on today so fingers crossed it will be positiveTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

£100 paid off my Virgin card. This debt busting seems to be going so slowly
I have decided to keep back some money and buy some decent winter boots and a winter coat. I was looking at some of my clothes and because I was pregnant last winter I don't really have ant decent clothes at all so really need a new wardrobe. I have decided I will buy a few things every month. I need to look and feel normal
OH asked his boss about a transfer and was told he would get an answer in a few weeks. In the meantime he has seen another job and is applying for that too.
I have decided not to go to my interview today as it would only confuse things even further if I got it.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

HI CMD.
That's probably a good thing about not going to the interview. You need to look ahead and you want to move to Scotland to make long term plans bear fruit sooner. Hope your OH gets to move or gets the other job. I feel quite excited for you!
Bf started his job this Monday. It's bit boring for him atm as he needs to do a lot of reading to get up to speed but will be fine when he gets going. I haven't started looking at jobs yet...bad. I really need to, but just don't seem to have time.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Wow it seems like all change is on the horizon for both of you.... I am just hoping for some stability and job security as I have changed job every 6-12 months for 5 years now and it gets very wearing!
I've just got into baking (cakes of course) as a way of relaxing hope it doesn't undo all of my gym efforts!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Haven't been on my own diary in ages. Not doing too well with the debt repayment at the moment. It is so slow. OH still hasn't heard about that job he applied for in Scotland. Think he is going to email his ex-work colleague today to see if he can shed some light on when they think they might process the application.
I have seen 3 suitable jobs in Scotland & have applied for 2 and will apply for the 3rd this week. The interviews for the first 2 are next week so its not looking hopeful that I have an interview for them.
I did resolve to buy myself some new clothes as I looked and felt completely rubbish so I have been earning money on AQA to counteract the cost. I also got my hair done as well.
I just had a lovely weekend at home and left Max with OH. They had a great time but Max really missed me and cuddled me for about 40 minutes yesterday when I came home. It was lovely to be missedTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Just been accepted for a Santander credit card, which is 0% on a balance transfer until Jan 2012. Am delighted with that as my Virgin 0% is up this month so I can at least transfer some of it over.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks Dinah. I wasn't expecting to get approved but I guess it is 2 years since I last applied for a card. Yes, it will save a fair bit as I hope to pay the balance of the Virgin card off fairly quick, but if I hadn't the interest would have been a whopping £140 per month. Scary eh?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Excellent CMD. I have a 'guaranteed offer' at home from Santander card, just wonder what the credit limit would be and it's not an ideal time. My Santander Zero ends in early april but still have 3k on virgin which is on 6.9%. I won't be able to pay all of zero before it ends but can't afford to have 3 cards either...DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
