LOL. Have given up. Just spent 15 minutes trying to abide by the PIN number requirements.

Darn. DH and I closed our ING Direct a/cs on 2/2/10, so will miss out on the qualifying period by 2 days. Oh well.

Brilliant, gave me the kick I needed to start saving for my sons future car in 7 years time ;-) Thanks OP
  • Meh, still hold a (currently empty) ING savings account from the last 'free £20' offer.

Oh well, good reminder to close it I guess.

As someone who's been saving for the same for her son (plus driving lessons - starts next week, gulp!) I'd suggest saving for his car insurance instead!

    Thanks OP.

I love their title options. Shall I be Rear Admiral, HRH, Countess or Marquess today????

Going back to the offer, it might be prudent to mention make sure you stipulate a bank account that has a cheque book attached to it, I linked a non cheque book account so in a trap now where I can't make the initial deposit because it requires a cheque deposit of £1, I can't change the bank details to my current account with a cheque book because I have a current'pending' application being processed that is waiting for a cheque I can't send, and I can't start a fresh application 'cos I'm now an existing customer.

    Oooh happy days :D
