I'm thoroughly fed up with this situation. I have spent a small fortune on numerous phone calls to Dell and constantly being put on hold, never mind the stress of it all.

OMG - just when I thought this could not get any worse!
I just got a phone call from Manager at DELL to check if I received the laptop - as the couriers had been in touch to say they re-delivered it to me! I received no such redelivery - and have been home the last couple of days :mad:
I can't believe this has happened - no doubt Mr and Mrs Ryans are sitting down the road with a SECOND laptop!

Yes, I had all of the "we apologise, we agree that your repair has been handled very badly and that the situation is unacceptable" chat and my PC somehow becoming impossible to locate from Dell.
You have my sympathy, PinkLipgloss. Hang on in there and refuse to give up.
We got there in the end, although it took something like 8 or 10 weeks and I'd torn out most of my hair and banged my head against a multitude of brick walls in the meantime.0 -

Update:
Got a call from Manager today saying credit has been processed at their end and should be in my bank Monday at latest - she will call back to check if I received.
Meanwhile - I got an "URGENT" email from Dell stating that my address is "incorrect" and I have to amend it immediately to resolve issue. The address is not "incorrect" - it is the exact address linked with legal documents attached to the property, it is the address Royal Mail have no problems delivering to every day, it is the address I have received various Amazon, Accessorize, Oasis and Apple Mac orders to.
No one else has ever had any problems with this address (which is a block of flats over 100 years old). Dell simply can't recognise the difference between the word "Road" and the word "Court" :mad:"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" At least she called back, PinkLipgloss - that's quite impressive for Dell!
You must be absolutely fuming about the address thing, though. They are absolutely useless. Such a shame that such a formerly wonderful company have descended to being entirely incompetent.
Fingers crossed for the refund on Monday.0
