Ah but do the DWP know about all these sick people spending 12 hours per day on places just like MSE? Maybe they would think differently no?
iam not always on here my sleep is all over the place sometimes i sleep 16 hours a day others i sleep a hour or two and cant get back to sleep no matter how tierd i am,
i pay bills online, do food shopping on here, keep up to date with friends on facebook and msn which 90% of the time i couldnt do, the internet is sadly my sanity why i spend so much time on here is because often i cant do much more phyicaly0 -

But she doesn't, she only suggests a few fiddling, not everyone.
I'm one of the ones that she has accused.
The thing is everyone is different & is effected differently by things.
I admit that if I wasn't autistic I might of coped better with what has happened to me but as I am autistic I will never know.
I am actually quite a strong person although alot of you don't see that.
My mum is normal & seeing everything i've been through has made her depressed let alone me.
She was horrified when she saw what they had done to me so i've got the guilt of upsetting my mum on top of everything else that i'm dealing with.
I don't want nor expect you to feel sorry for me as that doesn't help me I just want you to understand that this is how I feel & that is real to me.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Kriss provides all the care needs for husband for free. How many on DLA can honestly stick their hand up and say well actually I spend my DLA on a carer c'mon because I suspect they are very few and far between. How many have said I may have the care needs but I don't actually get the care, so what's the point in giving people money if their care needs are not met.
Luxuries *shrugs* a taxi...
How convienient that you left off the bit about her talking about luxuries.
Some of my DLA is actually given to my parents for them to care for me.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Tell you what, there's an awful lot of guilty consciences on this board. And mine isn't one of them.
At least my husband gets the care he was judged to be in need of. So the money is spent on other things to benefit him. I think it is a bit sad that the fact we use it to pay for taxis etc is a minus point. I think our idea of a luxury is a bit different to some of yours. Everyone claiming DLA is horrified at the thought of having to account for how the cash is spent. Why? If you all spend it solely on disability related stuff then that is what it is for.
Certainly my husband is not waking in pain because there is no one to help him move at night or sitting in a bath of cold water because he can't get out unaided. You might get the cash but you need to use it to get what you say you need. Otherwise it is simply extra pocket money.0 -

I meet my son's care needs using the DLA they receive.
We used to live in a 3 bedroomed house after I split with my husband & my 2 son's shared a room.
It was a nightmare, I constantly had the ambulance out & tbh it was one of those incidents after being strapped to a board for 6 hours that my eldest son was diagnosed with klippel feil.
They intially thought he had broke one of the vertabrae in his neck as after several xrays they still could see it (as it wasn't there).
It was only after having a CT scan that they could see that it was fused to the vertabrae next to it not missing.
Even though they are older now, nearly 14 & 15 they still fight like cat & dog which is very stressful for all of us especially as Ryan has to be so careful of his neck as he could end up paralyized or even die if he has the slightest knock in the wrong place.
Somedays they can't be in the same house let alone the same room, it really is that bad & I don't understand why they can't understand exch other better considering they both have autism.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
